Review summary
The Amazon River is one amazing feat of nature. Unfortunately we chose Regent
Seven Seas to go on with their crowded and unimaginatively tour. The food was
good but ship's crew were tired, passenger' were tired and cranky, probably from
having to fight each and every excursion for a place in line and a decent seat on
the excursion boat/bus. The lousy excursions were a major damper on what
otherwise should have been a great trip.

I would guess we are in trouble. Regent has dropped a great deal since they where taken over by Norwegian Cruise Lines. While the ships are excellent crew can be hit or miss with some services such as internet being very slow or dropping you every few minutes. Food in no longer several levels above other cruise lines with some of the waiters very poorly trained.
The so called free tours are below average and can be a waste of time. They call them free so when they skip a port they don't have to refund any money. An trust me Regent will skip a port in a heart beat since it saves them a great deal of money (they keep the tour and port fees) and allows them to slow the ship down cruising to the next destination.
After 130 days over many years I've walked away and found better for less money. So who needs Regent.
