Great cruise. Ship is great. Crew was almost all fantastic. Facilities were good. Only complaint was the ship should have gotten closer to be there money views and not tried to get you to buy Ventures excursions. Would have still done the excursions but would have liked to be closer for the rest of the time.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Well organized and quick. Probably due to only 450 passengers. One difference from Regent, they were not waiting on board with champagne and there was no line up of crew too greet is.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
All the food was great. Only issue is the brewed coffee was very bitter. When you ordered Expresso drinks in the restaurants I think they had to go to Columbia to get the coffee beans, Seattle to have them roasted and coffee bar to get the brewing. Veryyyyyy slow! Oh and the salt grinders in the colonnade were horrible. At least half did not work. Minor issue but memorable because it was everyday at breakfast.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not to many activities but both my wife and I enjoyed Jan's needlework session at afternoon tea. The sailaway party was fun.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
As usual we were pretty tired from our days activities so did not attend much but the trio in the lounge was great and the Sir Tim show was fun.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Only issue was one or two people who were just not friendly. But the service was uniformly great.

Cabin / Stateroom

Only comment is there is not enough drawer space. Incredible amount of hanging space and more hangers than I have seen before.
Ship tip
Internet is expensive and only Ok. Turn off and relax. There bow "hot" tub was great. The aft hot tubs on Deck 5 were good and under utilized. From my viewpoint the ship could have gotten closer to the glaciers. I am guessing that they do this to help sell Ventures kayak and zodiac tours. There zodiac tours were good but a bit repetitive. In hindsight I would not have done as many. On a positive note, the a Ventures team were great.
When you get the invites to the crew hosted tables do it. Each dinner was great and each time we closed down the restaurant because the conversation was fun.
Fortress of the Bear was work the trip. We took a taxi and setup got pickup later. The totem pole national historic site is a great walk. The museum was interesting. We had seen the raptor center, Russian dancing and St Michaels last year. If you like dancing the dancing was interesting if not skip it. The raptor center was great and meeting the ambassador eagles was fun. Since my father was Russian Orthodox seeing St Michaels brought back memories of going too Easter and Christmas services with him.
Authentic. There were no bears one the bears and whales tour. It was a nice walk but there living thing we saw was skunk cabbage. For me brought back memories of growing up in Connecticut.
Authentic. We took the ferry to Skagway and did the white pass and Yukon rr excursion. Was work getting up at 5am. Last year we docked at Skagway and did the eagle ready float. It is worth doing. We also did the brothel tour. It was good but a bit expensive.
Got to see lots of calving on the Dawes Glacier. We were glad we took the catamaran excursion. Once again the ship hung out pretty far from the glacier.
