We are hooked, and planning our next Seabourn adventure.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Carefully scheduled. No lines or crowds, met us with champagne, took luggage off of us right from the taxi.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Felt like eating at a high end steakhouse or seafood place each night. Breakfast buffet was international and had everything to offer from each country, plus made to order options. Cappuccino's were amazing. Food venues located around the boat, including the pool side options, Sushi restaurant and formal dining were all some of the top experiences we have had.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Fitness center and Spa as well as the on-board shopping and clubbing were very high end.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We had a very special group performing, including those that have been on Broadway in both the States and London. They flew in a performer as well for special events. Really amazing venues.
Children's Programs
I thought this was an adults only cruise, but one family brought small children which was weird. Their young kids were in the pool area screaming a few days in a row, meaning the rest of us who are wanting more of a quiet experience had to move on. Can't blame the kids, they were doing what they do, but wish those parents selected a more family oriented cruise, not ours.. Maybe my understanding was wrong.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff gets to know you and your preferences, then offers further custom experiences to make your stay great. The Sushi restaurant had a wait staff - Honoka, who was just delightful and attentive. The housekeeping staff was always attentive twice a day. We were greeted by all staff favorably.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship layout exceeded expectations given the smaller guest list. The pool area and grand staircase were particularly impressive. The access to washer/dryer area was very good - suggest perhaps a second area for guests to use here.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
All rooms were Suites with balconies. Our room was bigger than the hotel room we had in Rome. Simply fantastic.
Ship tip
Plan to spend some time just enjoying the ship, not just running off into town on excursions.
The only reason I gave France ports a lower rating was the ports were a bit more industrial where the others were full of pleasure seekers and had a different feel. Daily for excursions was simple. They gave us towels, umbrellas and water each day. The final disembarkation full of luggage was simple, helpful, easy. Sorry to say goodbye. Had some special staff with us there to say goodbye from the Sushi restaurant which was a nice touch.
