Review summary

We enjoyed our 1st cruise experience. We look forward to choosing our next one. The one thing I felt was a bit annoying, was the sun loungers that had towels left on them for much longer than 30mins, did not get the towels removed to make way for others to use. Even though this is your policy.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent, straight on, no queuing, didnt handle our luggage once it was out of the car boot.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food well presented, plentiful, and good variety, in all restaurants and Horizon buffet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Good variety of activities, although, I didn't take part in many. I enjoyed the arts and craft, although a bit simple, but entertaining.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed Peter Howarth, Philip Brown, and Rosemary Shrager. Good quality performers, and very enjoyable evenings. Well worth getting there early to get a seat.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I was very pleased to find all the staff I encountered, helpful, polite, and had a happy disposition, they all served me with a smile.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Yes a lovely clean ship. Hand washing/hand sanitizer at the entrance to all food areas, this is an excellent way to ensure, hand hygiene is undertaken, I did see a few passengers who walked past, as they didnt wish to queue, SHAME ON THEM!!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our inside cabin, was roomy, very comfortable queen size bed, with quality cotton linen . Excellent clothes hanging rail, and plenty of drawer storage. Also room under bed for large suitcases to be stowed away. Marlowe, attended to our needs for fresh towels, replenished our tea tray and toiletries every day. Our bed was always remade for us, even after our afternoon nap. Chocs on pillow is a lovely touch. Marlowe, allowed us to have our cabin as our home, but cleaned around our personal items with care. Well done from us Marlowe, for working so hard for us. 😘

Ship tip

220v hair straightens will not work on board. My big wand hair tongs did, they are 110/220v. If you like a good coffe in your room, take your own. There are laundry rooms on most levels. Free irons and ironing boards there too. Washing machine/dryers cost $3 each paid by your card.

BUSY, even on a sunday in September. Enjoyable, but glad to get back to the ship.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain Did not visit port

The ship docked in ceueta, Spanish Morocco. Enjoyed a few hours wandering around. Good prices in the shops, no VAT.

Lisbon, Portugal

Not keen, on this port. Very steep streets with cobbles, can be quite slippery. Long way to town from ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, straight off with no delays. Bags(all organised) waiting for us.

I was there and there were many towels, dirty plates and glasses, rubbish in deck just left and no one around to clear. It really wasn’t up to Princess standards.

Just remove the towels and place them in a neat pile nearby. If someone wants to remonstrate, then politely inform them of the policy and invite them to discuss the matter with the ship's company 😂
