Overall enjoyed our cruise. Sapphire Princess is a lovely ship and a nice size. Service and staff were great. It was a very happy ship. Food was good.

Food and Dining

We were ‘Anytime Dining’ all these restaurants had the same menu. Food was good but the menus weren’t as comprehensive as we’ve experienced on previous cruises. Loved the Pizzeria. Didn’t like the canteen with its melamine plates, mugs and plastic drinking cups.

Entertainment

Backbeat Beatles show, Philip Brown (singer) and the Hollies Singer were all excellent. BUT the rest paled into insignificance, nothing like the shows we’ve experienced with Norwegian on our previous cruises. Liked the ‘Movies under the stars’ and the movies on demand available on the TV in our Cabin.

Great layout and design. Loved the Promenade deck!
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the location of this cabin, so close to the Atrium/Piaza, pizzeria, cafe, Savoy restaurant and the lifts. And great location when disembarking and re embarking at ports (no need for lifts). The cabin was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, plenty of storage and loved that the bed was not directly under the window! Agree that the bathrooms are in need of modernisation but other than that had no complaints. Never missed not having a balcony!
Stayed in Livorno this time, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Got the HOHO and went on the funicular railway up to a beautiful area with great vista and little market, very quaint. Also took the canal boat trip which was very interesting too.
Moored at Las Seyne sur Mer walked into the local village, lovely market, beautiful little French town. Took the 2€ ferry to Toulon, enjoyed coffee and crepes on the sea front followed by a tour of Toulon on the tourist train. Ferry back to ship. Lovely day.
Cádiz was NOT on our itinerary! We visited Cueta (Spanish Morocco). Nothing special. Pleasant town, nice harbour but some dubious characters hanging around!
Moored a long way out of Lisbon, Princess wanted $16 per person for shuttle into town! 6 ships visiting so Lisbon was heaving! Went on a Tuk Tuk tour of the city.
