Review summary

Totally downhill from previous Princess Alaska cruise experience. Majority of scheduled activities are simply commercials for the overpriced goods and services they sell onboard. Stopping at Victoria was previous highlight & that didn't happen this time. Craft activities were unorganized and juvenile. Most craft presenters were unprepared and clearly unskilled. Also, not given enough time to complete craft, as lot of time was spent passing out each individual item needed. Insulting. Only redeeming part of trip was that Staff was excellent, food was good, weather great, had a balcony.

Embarkation

Smooth. Picked afternoon to embark. Less crowded than morning. No lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was good. Staff awesome. Coffee for the first 7 days was brown hot water.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Majority of scheduled activities were a commercial for their overpriced goods and services. Craft activities were disorganized and juvenile. Not given enough time to complete. Fitness center was good. Loved the hours open. Be wary of classes attending...some have a $20 fee that you're not told about until class is about to start.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Needed more variety. Most geared towards 70+ age group. Comedians, for the most part were repetitive and just not funny.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Most excellent! Staff was best part of cruise

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Staff kept ship in top shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Steward kept cabin immaculate. Size was perfect for 3 people. Only complaint is lack of electrical outlets. One was so high, had to climb on chair to reach. USB charging ports in lamps would be great.

Ship tip

Don't. Just don't. Quality & quantity of onboard activities has gone down so much. Unless you are okay with watching the water on the long days at sea...just don't travel Princess.
