Review summary

We booked for 4 adults, thinking it would give us two rooms like how most cruises that we'd been require (2 adults/cabin), but no. They squeezed 4 adults into a tiny room with 2 pullout beds and 2 twin beds. We had been in communication for payment and other services many times before the start date too, and no one at the cruise line felt the need to confirm with us if we really wanted a tiny room for 4 adults. Overall just a terrible experience from the start and we cannot wait for it to be over. If we could, we would leave the ship and return to port immediately.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food option feels very limited, there are few restaurants and the options are similar. It's quite under whelming for a cruise. Also, there is no free water and sodas on board except for free tap water in restaurants???

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There's not a lot to do here. The pool is small, the theater is outdoor, which is really cold. There's really nothing to do inside, shows and such are limited. Honestly just very boring. We can't wait to get off this trip.

Service and Staff

The service fee is outrageous considering how little the staff have to do to serve you and all. The wifi is really expensive for how bad its service is.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Cabin is really small and so are the beds. The top beds are so close to the ceiling that our heads would hit the ceiling every time we wake up if we don't remember. Appliances are old. Overall very uncomfortable.

Ship tip

Don't go on it. We were

Sorry you did not enjoy yourself. Did you use a travel agent? Booking on their web site would have asked how many cabins you needed.

I find it hard to believe that you did not know that you only one cabin. The price you paid must have been somewhat of an indication! Or are you telling us you don't look at your credit card statement either?? I get it, you were upset with the room situation but really, you let that ruin your whole vacation! How much time did you even spend there? Come on people cruising is different now, and the Pandemic is far from over and will probably never go back to the way it was! So let's move on to our new reality and be thankful that we can travel again!

well that cruise company is a mess but you are no to smart also

I agree with the tip: don't go on it...if you think you are going to get an extra free room and free sodas.

So many people complain that all complimentary restaurants have the same menu. There's nothing new to that, all MDRs always had the same menu. They may differ in decor and size but the food is the same.

I would be embarrassed to admit that I didn't know that I booked one cabin when I thought I booked two. Did you think both rooms had the same cabin number?

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. However, I can’t imagine how you expected 2 cabins but paid for one. Your words sound as if you have cruised often but your actions otherwise

Oops 😬

This sounds like someone who just wants to complain. If you sailed out May 20th you are on day 3 & the ship is only 3/4 full so a second cabin could have been given for an additional fee.

TheVegasSphere    2 years ago

You just thought they’d give you an extra cabin? :-)

“No free water onboard” .. seriously?

WhippetMum    2 years ago

Don't understand how you could not know you were all in one cabin. Clearly gives cabin information on the copy of your booking.

How did you experience all of this already if you were on the third day of a 10 day cruise? The cruise that left on May 20 is for 10 days, so you’ve not even experienced debarkation or most of the ports you have listed. Seems like a disgruntled former employee or works for a competing cruise line just trying to hurt princess.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like cruising is not for you or you need to explain better to your travel agent what you want.

Hi were you not provided with booking info telling you your room situation I.e. that you only had one cabin booked? Also it’s pretty standard across most cruise lines as far as I’m aware that that bottled water and soda isn’t free. You would have seen info on beverage packages available to purchase. And for gratuities/service charge remember not everyone who has worked hard for you is visible to you. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your cruise but sounds like you should maybe have looked into things more. Don’t expect other cruise lines to be wildly different on some of the complaints you’ve mentioned.

Did you not look at the paper work? It shows the number of cabins booked.
