Review summary

Overall very good, but because of the screw up with our excursion I will not be using Princess for future family cruises. Will still use for couples only cruises.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining room experience was perfect. Great food and the staff was amazing.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Fun staff with game shows and other entertainment. Parts of the thermal spa were not up and running although they sold us the package and assured us daily they would be fixed. Never happened on our cruise. Also had to find someone to open the hot tubs in the adult pool area almost everyday. And we are not early birds, still not uncovered by 9:30 or 10am some days.

Princess made a mistake on our train tickets and was unable to fix it. Also just a warning, our train ride was more than an hour late. 4 plus hours on a train is a lot! But the scenary is great!

Cruise Glacier Bay

If you considered 4 or so hours a long time, then you could have had a look at the details. You would not appreciate the fantastic train ride from Denali to Whittier then , one of the highlights especially as we missed out on another 9 hour plus excursion, when they closed the Denali National Park & our Tundra tour .

Did you have all these problems on your last cruise on Ruby? If not, then dont be so critical of one or two bad things . Always been happy with PCL, but have had issues on some cruises, but not to the point I won't cruise with them again
