Review summary

Overall, we had a great cruise. I would suggest taking excursions at the ports. Unless you like to walk and shop.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very easy. Went very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the any time dining rooms had great food and excellent service. We also ate at the Crown Grill. It was wonderful. It was worth the extra $29. The Crab Shack was also very good. Thought maybe we should have gotten a little more crab for the extra $29 but it was good and service was great.

Wheelhouse Bar

5 out of 5

Nice place. Servers were very nice. Tania was the best.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn’t do any onboard activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We only saw the comedian in the Princess Theater. He was wonderful. So funny we had tears rolling down our cheeks.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We thought the wait staff around the pool area were not as friendly as other areas. We spent our time at the Outriggers Bar. The bar tender, Emil, was super. Very friendly, humorous, always smiling. He took great care of us. Our room Steward, Michael, was great. He was always around. Always greeted us. Very friendly. Always stopped to chat. He kept our room made up and clean.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It takes a day or two to figure things out. There are signs by all the elevators and stairs to tell you what is on every floor. That really helps.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We liked our cabin. For two people it was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. I do think they need to wash the bedding covers more often. Had enough closet space and hangars for two people.

Ship tip

Don’t worry. Everything will be taken care of. Relax and enjoy. I would book any excursions through Princess. We booked an excursion with a different company and weren’t very happy with it.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Wanted to get on the ship as soon as possible

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion. We just walked along the boardwalk by the beach and stopped in the shops. Nice place. The lady with us did do parasailing. She loved it.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion. Wish we would have. I think the cities have so much more to offer if you do excursions. I think you get to see so much more that way than by just walking around and not knowing where to go.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did an excursion here but wasn’t really impressed with it. Glass bottom boat tour and city tour. Did not book it through Princess. Didn’t take us anywhere to see fish just happened to see about six while we were sitting somewhere. The arch and rock formations we saw were awesome. Also saw sea lions. Senor’ Frogs was great. Had nice stores along the waterway. We liked Cabo the best of the three ports.

Disembarkation

It went great. They have everything so planned out and running so smoothly. Only thing we were confused on was the Princess shuttle to the airport. I think they needed someone closer to the doors to tell people which way to go for the buses.
