Best vacation ever, Our first but not last cruise, we had a wonderful time and are so happy we chose to cruise. Each day was something new and great and the ship was awesome.

Plenty of room and well taken care of. Ship was clean and mean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We chose the balcony for the outside experience, and I'm glad we did. It's bigger than you might think. Chairs and a table outside for you to relax and enjoy Alaska.

Ship tip

Get to know the ship before you go, it really helped us. By the first day on board we knew our way around because of our homework.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Port was clean and well organized.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice port, didn't have to walk too far to enjoy the city and our excursions.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice little town, easy port, tours right at the bottom of the gangway.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Nice port, very clean and well maintained.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

The ship arrived at 7pm and we just didn't want to enjoy Victoria in the dark, we stayed aboard.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little bit of a cluster, go here and wait for your number and color to be called, leave the ship, walk a mile and pick up your bags the them to the bus wait to leave, seems it could be a better plan. I guess it works.

Near Skagway Sunset from our balcony.

DDUCKJUSTCRUSIN, on the Ruby the future cruise sales is on deck 5. They usually offer a discounted deposit. I don't know if it's refundable or not. You will need to check with them when you are on board.

Glad that you enjoyed your first cruise. How long was it?

Irabe Who do you book the cruise with (when you're on the boat) and do you have pay a nonrefundable deposit?

Agree. The Ruby Princess is one of my favorite ships. Love the design. Glad you too thought she was something special.

Mrboswell, It's definitely addicting! You can get good deals if you book when you are on the ship, then you can talk to your travel agent when you get home to switch the account over. The TA can keep an eye out for additional deals, sometimes the TA can offer incentives too for trip you booked while on ship. Lynne-lrabe
