Review summary

We really enjoyed the cruise. We already have 2 more cruises lined up. I wish we could have spent more time in Ketchikan. I went fishing with my son in law and when we got back we had to board the ship. Missed out shopping. We plan on doing a 2 week trip to Alaska next year to see more of the state, Gonna go in June or july get away from some rain,

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Main dining was very good, The international cafe on deck 5, The lady in charge was very rude, I had drink card and I would ask for large hot chocolate every morning, and she would only give me a small one, I told her my card didn;t say I was only entitled to small one, She said I would have to drink small hot chocolate and then come back. I will never get the unlimited drink card again, I cruise a couple times year, I heard she received numerous complants, She should be replaced, She gives Princess cruises a bad name,

IF a 2-week land excursion next year, think B&B's and map yourself a tour area. Nice way to see the State and it's people. Glad you enjoyed your Princess cruise to Alaska.

Did you catch anything? Who did you use?

Seattle based cruise often feature shorter port times due to the distances involved. Suggest a North or South one way Alaska cruise, we had all day in Ketichan.

RicVic375, Sorry to tell you but we were on the 10 day Grand Princess just this past June and beginning of July and we had lots of rain too. We just used our umbrellas and ponchos. You can never tell with Alaska. We were also on a two week cruise a few years ago in August and didn't have any rain in any of the ports including Ketchikan. We had a mist while we were cruise glacier bay both trips. But it wasn't bad enough to pull out the umbrellas.
