Review summary

Great cruise.  Positives far outweighed any negatives.  Staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make this an enjoyable experience.  Quality of food was very good, wine selection was good and bottled wine prices were very reasonable.  Staterooms were kept clean and refreshed often.

Only three minor issues:  First, casino should be smoke-free all of the time.  Even on smoke-free nights, the smell was offensive.  Speaking personally, I would have spent a greater amount of time and money in the casino had it been smoke-free.  Second issue concerns dining.  Inadequate seating in Horizon Court (buffet) was a constant issue.  Lots of sharks circling looking for a place to sit down and eat after getting food.  Third, breakfast should not take one and a half hours to be served.  While this did not happen often, it did happen several times in the DaVinci dining room.  This was not only an inconvenience, it affected other plans for the morning.

Again, positives far outweighed negatives.  It was a real pleasure working through .  They answered all of our pre-cruise questions promptly and accurately.

Very good steward service. Kept cabin refreshed frequently and was very helpful.

Ship tip

Ask to sit in Lynique's section in Michelangelo DR. She is fantastic...especially with kids.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

We have found there are times when only one buffet line is open. However, both seating areas are available. If the area where the food is served is full, check the other seating area. There is often someone there for water and coffee refills.

mike, smoking will always be a problem as long as they sell cigarettes aboard ship. I agree with you totally, it's all about making profit on the cigarettes. be sure to comment on that when you fill out your after cruise questioner regarding the buffet seating there's nothing you can do except for get there early everybody tends to go at the same time what me and my wife do is one of us will sit down and guard a table while the other one goes up for their food sometimes that can be very helpful.

Agree with you regarding smoking in Casino. Discourages non-smokers from playing.
