Go for it and enjoy every little bit of it. Bring your own soap powder to wash your clothes with, if you don't like perfumed clothes. A small stapler would also come in handy to staple your suitcase labels on your suitcase prior to boarding.

Loved the cities/countries visited! Food was great! Edwin my room attendant was excellent! I was disappointed with my spa visit: this Detox & Inch loss Ionithermie. It does not work. The lady tried to sell 3 appointments (each are $159) and buy product for an additional $400+ waste of money!

The Royal Princess is a nice ship, but has a confusing layout, especially if you are in the Allegra Dining Room. I had to look at the ship map daily to find my way around the ship. The Mediterranean cruise was fine for my senior parents who enjoyed spending their free time relaxing in the room.

Buy the drink package and internet package before you leave. Many of the shore excursions especially through the shopping areas are not worth the price from what we observed.

Use laundry services when others are busy so you won't wait as long. Try walking up or down a deck if they're busy on yours. There were 3 people waiting on my deck but down just 1 level I was able to get right in.

Don't sit inside for breakfast - or for an evening cocktail - it's too crowded. Go to the aft deck on level 16 - great views of ports and sea, quiet and less busy. Also, skip the main pool and head to the Retreat Pool - quieter and adults only.

Just check the holiday periods in the area you are going to cruise, then check the actual cruise detail. (Not book a 14 day cruise only to be on 2 x 7 day cruises)
