Incredible cruise by blkmax1958

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Bonaire was our favorite part of this cruise. We picked the excursion on "No Name Island". It was gorgeous and uninhabited. The only thing we didn't like on this cruise was an excursion in Dominica. It was way overrated and we didn't enjoy it. It  was a waterfall, rain forest and Titou Gorge. Very disappointing. The ship Royal  Princess was great as always. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone and book it with Ali McIvenny. She was great.

Ten days of sun on the amazing Caribbean Sea! Our handicap equipped  mini suite was awesome! The decor of the ship was beautiful and the food was very good. I loved the ports we visited and the people we met along the way.Love

Wonderful Cruise by guss4719

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a great time. We had a back facing balcony and it was great. Sitting out there was amazing, especially when we were leaving the different ports. Next time, we will probably book the same balcony next time. We already booked our future cruise and are looking forward to it.

Not as expected by cruise26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Aft cabin below THE VISTA noisy and soot on balcony. Private entertainment apparently procured the Vista for several nights. Besides the noise, we were not able to have that venue for additional shows, comedians, etc. Definitely should have been forewarned! Staff very nice. Restaurant wait staff superb. Food very good. Dissappointed last night dinner however since usually a grand fairwell. Excursions mediocre. Not as nice as other cruises!

Good cruise and wonderful service by vherring4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The crew and staff were very friendly and did their jobs up and above expected.  I got sick on the ship and had to go to the doctor.  I was unable to get off the ship at one port and our room steward knocked on my door a couple of times just to check on me and make sure I did not need anything. Thank you again Inman. Princess also has the best entertainment on the seas.  I like that they use talent from America's got talent and other such shows.

My disappointment with this cruise by Cruiser56508377

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

no I definitely would not My review is in cabin review My cabin review is my disappointment with the boat started when we opened the cabin door. I mean if that's luxury I can't imagine what a cheaper room would be like. Luxury veranda r u kindding ??? I went to check at the desk about my room. I thought they made a mistake I'm not going to ramble on, it boils down to this... This was my 4th cruise, I paid the most I ever have for one and I couldn't have been  more dissatisfied.

insight on Royal Princess ship by valeriospina

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The food on the Royal Princess was exceptional--Any dining venue was above expectation.   The drinks are fairly priced ( most under $10 ) and well prepared

However DO NOT book and aft suite--The soot from the smokestack was all over our balcony twice. Really prevented us from totally enjoy it

Also be aware of the noise from the Vista lounge below.

Overall I would recommend this cruise

Skip Princess by redbarnkennel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Skip the Royal Princess, it's not worth what they are charging for an aft balcony. The stateroom looked tired, stained , worn carpet, furniture tired, bed sham stained, wacko door that shreiked wind noises. Horizon court buffet was a disaster all times day or night with poor service, sometimes non-existant, food choices poor, tasted very bland at times, breakfast bacon arrived for a few piggy people, then disappeared totally. The elevators were also so slow or out-of-order that the stairs were the only choice. Ship staff were robot-like with often NO reply to hello- We were very dissatisfied with many aspects- I could go on and on- the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves more than the passengers-

Princess treats you like royalty by 1Mermaid

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I took the cruise to "get away" and I fully enjoyed the relaxation. I had a balcony cabin with an expansive view of the ocean. The curtains remained open day and night. The Royal Princess is huge with fantastic engineering stabilizing the vessel in the 6 foot seas we had on my trip. There are too many places to eat, so save your dieting for another time. Food was excellent quality and plenty of variety that changed on a daily basis. I am a fan of the food court and did not even use the dining room. I like the International Cafe that stays open 24 hours. One evening, I just felt like quiet time and ordered room service. The first time I ever did that over decades of cruising. The ship offered plenty of activities and also privacy. It is a beautiful ship and hard to believe it holds 3500 passengers. Yes, I would sail on the Royal Princess again!Happy Don't forget to take advantage of the spa. They have great massages!

Not as good as Celebrity by fryckebosch

Menu choices were poor, anytime dining was flawed (too long waits), limited entertainment options while at sea. Poor internet. Spa service was terrible.

14 night transatlantic cruise by sixdogs15642

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

We had a wonderful wonderful time.  There is something for everyone. The food was fantastic and so was the service provided at mealtime.  Our room was spotlessly clean and refreshed everyday beyond expectations.  We have cruised on other cruise lines but we think we will stick with Princess due to the diversity of population on the ship.

Loved it!

Transatlantic Erope Holiday! by jimkatz23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

We were very pleased with our cruise and all the curtesy we were extended, and professional services. We would like to thank our Stewart, Maggie , room D134 , dining , late seating, Karla and Carlos, and bar service at Jojo and Ferdinand between 3-4 for Happy Hour. We would take this ship in an instant as it was new, beautiful, Michelin chef and great stabilizers!! Big Smile

cruise comments by wemfas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

favorite part of the cruise were the days spent at sea on the crossing from the Azores to Fort Lauderdale.very relaxing. This vessel was drydocked for two weeks & there was a few problems over the first two days. The toilet did not flush for 24 hours. The tv had problems for a day. There was very poor satellite reception for the tv & for the internet. I felt that a lot of money was spent waiting to circulate around the internet.Everything else was quite good.

Very much enjoyed our cruise by cgranas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

The cruise itinerary was good. A nice mix of days in port and days at sea. Excursions were quite expensive, though. The food in the buffet was excellent, but the restaurant was disappointing. We skipped it a few times as the menu had nothing interesting, and when we did go the food was overcooked 50% of the time. Wait staff in both areas were great, though. Very friendly and upbeat. Could have had more activities, especially during the days at sea; cut back on the silly games and have more lectures and classes. The gym was good, plenty of machines. However, there was no room for stretching, sit-ups, etc. as that space was in use by sales-related classes more of the time.

Not the same cruise that we booked but still enjoyable! by etuit1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

3 of the ports were changed after we booked our cruise. Understandable in some cases (cancelled our stop in Turkey) but just unknown to me as a first time cruiser that this happens! Besides that, gorgeous ship, incredible staff, fun shows and entertainment, amazing spa and spa treatments, delicious food and cocktails. No disappointments here!

Loved our balcony room by lheidenson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This was our first time cruising. We loved our balcony stateroom on the starboard side on the 10th floor. We spent a lot of time on our balcony enjoying the view as we came into and left the various ports. The ship was well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. In my opinion, the food was average. I'm guessing if we'd spent the extra money to dine at one of the speciality restaurants, it would have been excellent but we felt we were already spending enough for the cruise and excursions without spending more for a good dinner.

sold a Mercedes, delivered a Kia by vlazer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Let me just say that we were sold port of calls Santorini, Ephesus, Malta, Messina, Naples, and we got Santorini, Kotor, Corfu, half of Messina, Elba. The only stop replacement explained was Ephesus, and the reason given was instability in the region.

Other than that, the entertainment was mediocre, the rooms very small (need to reserve a deluxe balcony in order to get a tiny sofa to sit on). Food was good in the specialty restaurants, and just OK in the main restaurants.

Overall, I would not recommend this cruise.

Huge ship, but not a crowded feel. Bring walking shoes, lots to see and experience by dlowy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ship is newer and even though it was sold out, never felt crowded.

The ports are fabulous (Missed both Turkey ports due to issue in Turkey) including Kotor which was a replacement port.

The only issue is how crowded the ports were.  Partially due to many lines having to change itineraries due to Turkey issues

Relaxing and Enjoyable! by asseff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and the great attention we were given from all the staff and servers.  The food was incredible and the presentation in the specialty dining rooms was exceptional.  We enjoyed Mykonos the most as it was a beautiful day in a beautiful surrounding of land and sea. Our mini suite was great having the large outside deck.  Would definitely recommend this cruise.  Would have liked to have gone to Istanbul, but understand the condition of the country.
