Review summary

Very disappointed with Royal Princess, over booked, changes in scheduled arrivals, asking if we wanted to switch cabins to an obstructed view cabin two days before sailing. The Victoria (Buchart Gardens) was canceled three weeks ahead, we had used our “bonus” excursion money $125 to book the excursion, no money back.. the Juneau excursion cancelled and $239.95 refund is supposed to take 4 to 6 weeks to refund my credit card. One member of our party went on shore in Victoria and a shopkeeper said the Princess has been late every time, not just this cruise.

The table wait staff in the buffet area did not always get to the table in a timely manner. We helped ourself to water and coffee (we are impatient).

Watch out for changing schedules. We had two out of four excursions cancelled due to ship not getting to the ports on time.

Disembarkation

A member of our party was detained due to a passport issue. No one was informed about the issue until the security upon arriving at Seattle confiscated their passports. This should have been investigated before we got on the ship, not after we deported.

They wanted you to move to an obstructed view cabin from what? If it was an inside you originally had then it's an upgrade, but if you had a regular Oceanview or balcony and they wanted you to go to obstructed then it's an insult.

Sorry you were disappointed with your cruise. Changes happen all the time. If you booked an excursion through the cruise lines they will refund your money.
