The food is school lunch quality. The service is very slow (2-hours for orders at 3:00 pm??!!) and food arrives stone cold and tough. The App doesn’t work most of the time and no one answers if you call from the room.

The fitness center is pretty good. Everything else that should work does not.

People are friendly, but the ship must be woefully understaffed. The service at bars is about one drink order per hour. Service for food orders is far slower. 2+ hours to get salad and a hamburger.

The upholstery is frayed and the foam in all the seat cushions is collapsing. It’s like a frat house.

We would not know how this port is because Princess cancelled it due to speed restrictions. Instead of refunding 1/7 the cost of the cruise, they said “sorry for the inconvenience,” which is literally the least they could do. I will never choose Princess and have now made it my mission to warn as many people as possible never to waste their money on this total ripoff.

Sorry to possibly ruffle some feathers, but I would agree with much of what the original poster has said. We recently got off the Royal as part of a S2S after having sailed on Celebrity Solstice. Both were our first experiences with the lines. I will say that it was night and day with Celebrity the clear winner in our eyes. I realize that this is all subjective, but we were so unimpressed with the Royal Princess that we cancelled two Princess bookings within days of our return and we booked two future cruises on Celebrity. To each their own. We are willing to possibly try Princess in the future but it paled in comparison to X and to HAL in our opinion.

Warn away. It won't do any good. Your experience is not like most and I bet when everyone gets off the ship yours will probably the only negative. Hope it gets better for you in the next few days.

Appreciate your detailed review. The usual (if any) refund given for a missed port is taxes and port fees for that port. Princess is good about doing that. There are people on the ship to help with the medallion app. I agree it can be unreliable. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.
