Review summary

A wonderful experience. Our first time sailing with Princess. We have sailed with NCL years ago and are about to again. But depending on our experience this next cruise will not hesitate to book with Princess again. The only board ship naturalist gave excellent and informative lectures. Overall a lifetime great vacation.

Food and Dining

The food was consistently delicious, served hot, presented well. The staff were perfect and always extremely professional. Very welcoming. We opt onto avoid the buffet although it looked good. Instead we enjoyed being served in the main dining rooms.

Ship tip

Book Alaska excursions early. Familiarize yourself with disembarkation in Seattle. Especially how your luggage gets taken off the ship and where you go to pick it up in the terminal. The cruise line and the port of Seattle both offer options but the overlap in what each process means can be confusing. Assume you have to get your luggage at the terminal even if you made arrangements for them to take it to

Went ok. The handling of luggage was confusing as there were procedures for the ship and also specific to services in Seattle at the port. Thinking we had opted for all the services, we ended up with none. And we got conflicting instructions from guest services. So our luggage got left behind because we were told it would be taken to the airport. It would help to make the communication simpler and make certain the staff know exactly how to guide. However, this is easily addressed and was really the only hitch on our entire vacation. Our luggage just had an extra adventure.
