This was my bucket list trip. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a trip that everyone should go on. Pay attention to your environment for soon it may be gone.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was seamless. Easy on - got to cabin - suitcases were in the room.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Only went to main dining room and buffets. Did not do any specialty dining - didn't feel the need to go to them.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The games shows were fun. These were hosted by the Cruise Director and Staff. All very entertaining.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Didn't think the nighttime entertainment was great. Didn't wow me. The comedian/magician was funny and good but the second show he did was not held in a venue where it was easy to see what he was doing.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
They were all good. No animals on the bed or hanging from the ceiling. I guess Princess doesn't do that. Hardly saw our room steward which is ok but I was used to them always popping out of nowhere in the hallway when I had been on Royal Caribbean.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It was a typical ship of 3000+ passengers and crew. Clean and sparkly.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Size was normal. Beds seemed a bit narrower then a typical single bed - - - comfortable but narrow.
Ship tip
Learn the difference between the Horizon Bistro and Horizon Court - - - although one runs into the other and have different seating, the food offered in each is very different. Took me a bit to figure that out.
Didn't really spend anytime here other then getting off the train onto the ship. The story of Whittier was pretty interesting though. Kind of a secluded small town.
Pretty city and easy to get around. Don't be afraid of the Metro/Train/Bus system. All day pass for a Sr was $8.50. Went to Stanley Park and Granville Island Public Market. Weather was not the best - rainy but we still wandered around these two places.
