Review summary

Awesome Alaska Cruise! Royal Princess was a beautiful clean ship! Entertainment was great! Food was good! Most service was good! Cabin Steward was Great! Our room (cabin) and balcony was Great! The Location of our Cabin was PERFECT! (Especially for an Alaskan. Cruise)... Do the Train from Whittier instead of the Motorcoach because you can get up move around and eat. Long train ride (or bus) when you disembark. (9-9 1/2 hours)...

Service and Staff

Raj - Room Steward was Great Enzo in MDR was not so good BUT so think it was because he had a terrible Assistant Waiter, she was constantly looking at her cell phone and not helping and not friendly. After I spoke with Head Waiter the service was somewhat better

We had a premium Deluxe Balcony Cabin Aft on very back of Ship. Room was good side and very comfortable and our deck (Baja) had the largest of the balconies (not suite balconies of course) our travel Agent was on Point advising us to pick these cabins. We had all the way across, so we opened all the balconies across which was nice got our large group to socialize.

Ship tip

Get the Baja deck 11 AFT (very back) premiium du. Balcony. You can see what’s happening on both sides of the ship and we saw lots of whale from the back

Whittier was where we disembarked and got on the train to go to Denali. It was not Anchorage. Anchorage after our land tour was a lovely city.

Enjoyed Alaska on the Eurodam last week even if it was damp, looking forward to the Sea of Cortez on the Royal in October.

I’m wearing jeans. A light jacket is needed. Glad I brought a jacket for over my dress tonight.

I’m on the ship now, 1st sea day. It’s a clean, beautiful ship! The WiFi is pretty fast. We are cruising outside the inside passage because it’s such a large ship. So off the port side looks like open ocean. And it’s steady! So far no seasick meds needed!

Sounds wonderful! We leave in two weeks and have the suite near where your cabin was. How was the wether. What kind of clothes did you use? Jeans and light jacket ok!
