Had a blast. It’s a smaller ship compared to some but we still didn’t have a dull moment the entire time

Evening dinner was my favorite part of the cruise.  The dinning room was accessible and somewhat elegant.  The wait staff were knowledgeable and attentive.  The food was always excellent.  It was fine dinning every night. 

Such a friendly cruise staff, everywhere we went!  The food-  everyone asks about the food. I think breakfast there is good. The pastries were lackluster, but everything else was pretty good. Lunch and dinner were average. Although, I ate in the main dining room for dinner one night,  and that was plenty. I ate in the edelweiss restaurant or the upgraded restaurants the rest of the time. The main dining room dinner I thought was pretty bad. On the last day,  I went for breakfast at 9 AM, right before departing the ship and it was closed already. That was a bummer. I thought the cruise director, Dan Dan was a lot of fun. The shows were good. I'm not sure why they had to devote a night to Elvis.  Overdone.   The juggler and the comedians and the piano man night were all great. I liked not having to reserve a seat for these events. That gave me the option of whether to go at the last minute or not. The casino was smoky, so that ruined the experience for me .   Getting on the ship was a breeze, and I found it to be shockingly quick. Getting off the boat took a little bit longer. I wish the camera  people made themselves more obvious on ship. There was formal night and we couldn't find anyone to take our picture. That was disappointing. I didn't think the costumes of the people off the boat were very good. I didn't particularly want  my picture taken with a girl dressed up in a sailor outfit. I have been on other ships that were better in this area. That being said, I thought the ports of call were all great. There was enough time to really spend some time at each location.   On the really long piers, there were rickshaws to help with the long walk in the heat. For a couple of bucks, you could get a ride which was a godsend at the end of a hot day. We enjoyed ourselves immensely, but I might pick a bigger Ship next time. Even though it had been renovated, it wasn't much to look at as far as the decor goes, and the schedule for things to do at night wasn't extensive.  Honestly, the staff is what made this ship great.  Otherwise, I would have rated it a 3.  

This was our very first time on a cruise and it was everything we expected and more! We are definitely planning on going on another cruise again after having such an amazing experience with Royal Caribbean!

although we're seasoned travelers, this was our first cruise, & a good choice it was. Even though the seas were very rough & the itierary had to be altered due to rough seas & port strikes, we managed to enjoy the experience. We were surprised at the comfort & roominess of our state room. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant, efficient & helpful. Abundant food; evening meals were particularly good. The short stays in port were difficult for us as we enjoy staying several days in order to get to know a place. But a cruise is more like a tasting experience; you find out if you want to return for a fuller experience. Ephesus was our favorite stop. We arranged an excursion through a private company & that worked well. 

We loved the convenience of beginning a trip at the Tampa port. The food was great in the main dining room, staff and crew was exceptional! Ship is tired and in need of a facelift.

This was our first cruise and it was wonderful. Will go again

We would definitely go on the Rhapsody again. A great ship to relax and enjoy .

Overall this cruise was amazing, the crew as always looked after our every need and on the whole the food was great.

We are Diamond on RCI and have normally cruised on the bigger ships this was one of my favourite ships & cruises well worth going on

7 nights western Caribbean in Rhapsody of the Seas was absolutely wonderful!!!

Almost all passengers were Israelis, which for me was like a trip abroad while staying in Israel. The ship is not very big (which I personally like) but has enough things to do while you are on it. The inside cabin size is quite small, but since were were mostly there for shower or sleeping it didn't bother us too much. Most of the crew was very attentive and nice. I would probably do it again :)

We really enjoyed the ship and the crew went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Specialty dining was a huge plus. Cozumel and Costa Maya aren't really our thing. Vendors are pushy in port and it's way too crowded in Costa Maya. We have been to both ports multiple times so we have already done the excursion there that we have wanted to do. We loved Belize and Honduras though and would like to return there.

I would highly recommend going on this itinerary. It had the best cruise destinations we've ever been on.

This was a perfect first cruise for me. I'm hooked! I can't wait to plan the next one. I do think we'll look at other RC ships and hope to visit the Eastern or Southern Caribbean next. I have absolutely no complaints.

Our cruise was good, the weather was not in our favor and i dont know that i will travel in the month of january for this itinerary again but i would love to be able to do this cruise again and visit some of the areas that we didnt get to see.

Many current reviews report that Rhapsody of the Seas is now a “very tired’ ship. In truth one would expect an element of this given the age of this ship. However, this 20 year old ship is generally well maintained and it is not the ‘tiredness” of the ship that disappointed us on this cruise but rather more the lack of service and drop in standards throughout. My wife & I have cruised with RCI previously - we have witnessed first hand a drop in service and overall standards - this due to obvious cost cutting and not enough staff. Also we experienecd 4 itinerary changes - Santorini, Jusadasi and Mykonos (x2) were dropped from our 14 nightc ruise. We do not think we will consider RCI again for a future cruise after this experience. P&O and NCL both of whom we have cruised with previosuly are a class ahead. We may try Celebrity (same company as RCI) as we have heard they are a step above the RCI fleet. Sorry RCI but you let us down this time.

p This is a great little cruise ship. It is aging and ready for rehab, but it is clean and nice. The staff is very dedicated and aims to please. This was a great cruise. We had two overnight stays in Maui and Honolulu giving us time to visit the islands at night. I really enjoyed this cruise and plan to do it again.

My group of 20 family members had fun of this 7 day cruise on board Rhapsody of the seas. The service staff did a great job accommodating us in the main dinning and other areas. The ship although 27 years old it's still pretty and has it's luxury look in some areas. Food and entertainment was good but yes I guess it's fair to say that it could've been better. Rooms and facilities were cleaned daily. Overall a great experience for the family.

Nice cruise; food was the highlight. Note that if you buy the high speed internet package, it is not very "high" speed and drops a lot. Also, the TV programming is not very good. No new movies or good TV shows.
