This was a perfect first cruise for me. I'm hooked! I can't wait to plan the next one. I do think we'll look at other RC ships and hope to visit the Eastern or Southern Caribbean next. I have absolutely no complaints.

Food and Dining

Food was good. I preferred eating in the dining room over the Windjammer café. Our waiter was excellent and was helpful to suggest things he felt we would enjoy. If we didn't like something, it was never a problem to bring us something different.
Onboard Activities

We enjoyed watching the poolside activities. I would have liked to have seen more things poolside and different videos on the big screen. The same "funny" videos and trivia questions over and over became redundant.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the headliner acts on the ship. I would have liked to have had DJ music in areas other than the bar for dancing. We didn't particularly care for the Rhapsody Singers and Dancers and felt they were more "filler" entertainment.
Service and Staff

The service and staff on the Rhapsody were excellent! What the ship doesn't have in size or amenities, it more than makes up for in the overall attention and willingness of the staff to make you feel special.
Ship Quality

This was my first cruise, and I was a bit apprehensive. This ship was not as large as the other RC ships, but felt perfect for my first experience. It was definitely large enough to have many options, but not overwhelming. I felt comfortable my first day navigating around. The ship was extremely clean and I saw staff doing daily maintenance such as painting and window washing to keep the ship in tip top shape.
Cabin / Stateroom

I loved that we had a window and I didn't feel that I was missing something by not having a balcony. We spent little time in our cabin, but I felt the layout was fine and we had adequate room for all our belongings. I did have some issues with the electrical outlet not holding the cord for the hair dryer so I needed to hold it in while I used it, but that was really the only issue.
Ship tip
Eat breakfast in the dining room! The eggs benedict are wonderful!
We also liked the "my time" dining. We were able to decide each day what time we would like to have dinner.
Take the opportunity to visit each lounge area and see some of the entertainers.
If you have older children or teenagers, you may want to consider a larger RC ship as there were not a lot of activities for them. We didn't travel with children, so the atmosphere was perfect for us. Total relaxation!!
Port was nice. Enjoyed shopping for a bit, but became a bit tired of the jewelry shops. We decided to grab a cap and visit 7 mile beach. Very fun day!! Gorgeous beach and water!!
We didn't spend much time in the actual port. We did rent a jeep and drove around Cozumel stopping at random beach/bars along the road. This was so much fun!! We were able to use the amenities free of change at each location and also did a free tequila tasting. Highly recommend doing this!!
We just returned from our first cruise on Rhapsody, too, and feel the same way you do. The size was nice, and the staff’s attention to detail made the experience fabulous.
