Overall, it was a nice cruise being able to go to the Bahamas from Galveston. Doesn't happen often, but if you see it, I suggest jumping on it. Doesn't matter what ship, Go and Enjoy!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Was a breeze. Parked in North Parking Lot, walked across street, dropped off luggage with porter, went inside when they opened the doors at 10:00am, went upstairs, through security, sat in a lounge for about 15 minutes and got on ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Windjammer was the normal, Main Dining Room was amazing! Did not do specialty restaurants.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Small ship has small pool, often got crowed, hot tubs over-flowing with kids, played alot of trivia games, bingo, etc.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
smaller ship did not have the broadway style shows, but they tried their hardest to put on different shows each night. We had mixed feelings as some of the shows we basically the same thing, however you could tell the activities team, and cast of the shows tried their best to put on a great show. Overall was not disappointed.
Children's Programs
Did not use, but several other people stated that their children loved the programs offered
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Mariano (Waiter) and Mark (Assistant Waiter) in the Main Dining Room went above and beyond to exceed our expectations! Mariano often gave us recommendations (which were spot on)! Wayan (room attendant) also went above and beyond to give us great service! Room was always clean. All three gentlemen always had a smile on their face and it felt like family! Also gotta give props to Fausto in the Schooner Bar. out of the entire ship, he made THE BEST Mango Lava Flow!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Doesn't have all the bells and whistles that is bigger ships have, but it did not ruin the trip. We knew the smaller ship had less to offer but the itinerary made up for it!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
One Bedroom Grand Suite. Was big enough for a family of four. Huge balcony, huge bathroom, plenty of storage
Ship tip
Don't set expectations too high! If you know go into the deal what the ship has to offer, you won't have any problem finding something to do.
Port where we got on and off the ship, but we always go to Galveston a day or two before the cruise to explore. Galveston has alot to offer, just do a little research and you will be fine!
WOW! Where to start?!? Got something for everyone! Never felt crowded. I do recommend, if you have water park passes to use the slide often and early. Anything after about 11:00am the lines start getting long for the water slides!
