Great Alaskan Experience

Sail Date: August 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

We truly lucked out with great weather.  The scenery was spectacular!  Overall the ship was great and all crew members that we encountered were extremely friendly.  The bar staff was especially attentive as was our cabin steward.

Ship Quality
Appreciated the upgrades that were recently done including the electronic boards around the ship with the Cruise Compass and directions
Food and Dining
Experienced Samba the last night. It was the best!!
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Onboard Activities
Had a situation with the Art Auction but it was eventually resolved
Destinations and Excursions
Destinations were great, excursions were pricey
Cabin / Stateroom
The balcony in this cabin is rather odd shaped. There wasn't even enough room for both chairs. Would not have purchased this room if I were properly advised of the situation. The picture on this review is misleading!
Seward (Anchorage), Alaska
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Would've been better if more time were spent there to see more calving
Juneau, Alaska
One of our favorites. Did a tour of Mendenhal Glacier Park and the Shrine of Terese
Skagway, Alaska
Quaint old style commercial area, long walk from ship.
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Saw several whales where ship was tendered. Don't waste your time going to Hoonah.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Too many jewelry stores. Make time to go to the creek
Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
Awesome scenery, narrow passage, calm waters
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
Experienced a city tour including Stanley Park, Sky View building and marketplace. Cool city!

Tip

Balcony cabins truly enhance the experience
