Review summary

First cruise we had been on and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the Gala evenings, friendly staff, and the Theater. We were looking for something different which is why we chose Alaska but we also wanted something charming & reliable which is why we chose Cunard. The staff are the heart of the ship - well trained and well suited for their chosen jobs.

Bert, our cabin steward with a wonderful personality is a definite asset who somehow knew what we needed long before we did. Small touches such as chocolates in the evening along with the next days itinerary, beds turned down for the evening and fresh towels captured our dreams of being softly spoiled with panache. Revee, Head Waiter welcomed us with a smile & by name for dinner each evening as though he knew us for years.

This ship, bearing the name of a beloved queen presented us with 10 days of quiet old world charm and I would highly recommend a cruise to anywhere on Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth if you are looking for that much needed rest from a world gone mad.
