Review summary

Spent a most enjoyable 12 nights aboard this beautiful ship.  Could not fault the cabins, service or food.  However we were very disappointed with the daytime activities offered.  Unless you like constant quizes or your body is falling apart and require costly treatment for such things as puffy legs, constipation, sore backs, wrinkles, poor indigestion, acupuncture, fluid retention and poor circulation, brittle nails or cracked heels etc there is not much else to do.  There were dance lessons which were free and fabulous, but unfortunately there were only a few.  These classes were full to bursting so were obviously really popular so more should have been organised as this is a very good way of exercising. Shops onboard expensive and not great. Photos are also extortionate.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not a good balanced mixture of things to do. Too heavy on the costly treatments and not nearly enough guest speakers, dancing, art classes, Ipad classes. Afternoons onboard were spent mostly in the cabin.

Entertainment

Very good and varied.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly and helpful and done a wonderful job.

Ship Quality

Superb

Cabin / Stateroom

Beautiful cabin and was kept that way. Only complaint is that they do not have kettles in the room. Room service is available, but would far prefer to be able to make our own teas or coffees when we wanted especially first thing in the morning or last thing at night.

Ship tip

Remember when purchasing drinks onboard to add on a further 15% service charge as this makes quite a difference to your overall bill. Take your camera - its a gorgeous ship.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

Long drive from Scotland.......

La Coruna, Spain

Very wet when we were there, so didn't get to see it at its best.

Tangier, Morocco

Again wet for us, but don't think it would ever be a favourite port. Too many people hanging about trying to sell you things and way too persistant.

Valencia, Spain

Very smart place, enjoyed it.

Cartagena, Spain

Lovely port, nice relaxing walk about.

Gibraltar (U.K.)

Love Gibralter, close to port and compact to walk about.

Lisbon, Portugal

General holiday the day we were there so lots of shops closed, but still a lovely place to visit.
