Review summary

I would recommend the Virtual Balcony cabin to save money, but still get the view from your room. It was a larger room than I have had on other ships. Alaska is always a great destination in any weather, rain or shine.

5 out of 5
I ate at Chops, Izumu and Jamies and all had great food and service along with the main dining room.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I-Fly was fun and I watch the rock climbing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the stage shows were very good and the music throughout the ship was great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
From the room steward to all bar tenders and waiters the service was top notch and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
A function layout and everything I saw was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I booked this cabin for the Virtual Balcony and it was better than I expected. It gave an open feel to an interior room and resolution was very good.

Ship tip

You are travel with 4,000 passengers, so relax with some of the lines. They do a good job of keeping things moving along. I used room service mainly for breakfast.

I did a kayaking tour and saw 2 whales while we were out. It was beautiful and fun. It was my first time in kayak and had a great time.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
I had a van tour over the White Pass into Canada and the Yukon that was well worth the 6 hours. I heard the train was good, but the van stopped for several photo opportunities at different locations. It also included a stop for lunch and a museum.

Juneau, Alaska

I took a whale watching boat and saw several whales and a juvenile at the surface just splashing around.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
It is a beautiful city and great place to walk around.

Disembarkation

Great, but they route you to walk the length of the ship and back to get off.
