Service was ok overall. I do think dining room staff were still in learning phase. So some mistakes but overall ok.

Balcony room. Clean. TV had strange volume "voice". Not happy with shampoo/ body wash provided.

Ship tip

If this trip is to Alaska steer clear from September as weather is not good apprently.

Ports of call

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Took gondola to top. Not worthwhile due to fog and raw rainy weather no views. Little town to walk with museum. Took excursion thru town of Hoonah. Guide was a nice guy..but once we reached our destination to a park area 3 bridge platform areas to hopefully view distance 🐻 bears other wildlife. We were held back due to "possible" bear sight too close to 3rd Bridge, so a guide went to see. Which is fine, yet Took over 20min to return ( mind you, we are all standing in rain). Then we moved to 2nd Bridge for guy to leave again. 20 minutes . All I'm rain. Terrible. Wish they just canceled 😞 instead. Just keep in mind the weather I'd cancel if you are headed to this area.

We got into Hotel Saturday afternoon cruise was Monday. Outside our Hilton hotel was a free shuttle around town! We also walked around alot. Weather was awesome. Had extra day to hang around morning of cruise end departure. Our next hotel very close to airport also about 5 miles was a Boeing aircraft museum, huge. This was a great place to visit.

We liked this area best. Unfortunately rainy but more to do. We walked town. We took gondola because we were there, yet, knew we shouldn't bother due to fog no views basically a waste of time. Went to eat and a beer at Red dog Saloon. We enjoyed. Excursion to view whales 🐋 at first a dud..but a young whale and mom entertained us and saved the day!

Sitka, Alaska

Excursion to Sitka National park. Rainy raw weather..unfortunately. saw salmon ! Yet, on last stop in life cycle..many totem poles in park. It's beautiful nature..but just had over an hour and time to head back to bus.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Judging by your words the ports of call were good in spite of the weather. I’m sure the cruise line would have had only sunny skies if they could. Glad you mostly enjoyed your Alaskan cruise.

You ranked every port with 2 stars yet most of them you described having a great time… doesn’t makes sense! 🤔
