Review summary

Not Happy with the cruise - They canceled our main excursion to Skegway which we were looking forward to and the trip to British Columbia Canada was canceled the ship did not dock - Very unhappy customer - We won't be sailing with them again. We paid for a full cruise and missing one of the destinations we paid for a lot of customers were very unhappy. No compensation or credit was offered to us by the criuse line. I can't rate this cruise as what we paid for we never got disappointing

RCL notified all cruisers (in advance) via email that Skagway was canceled because of the 2022 rock slides and replaced it with Icy Strait Point. Out travel agent also informed us.

Cruising Alaska is about the scenic views while cruising and actually doing something in the ports that you dock at. If you just sit around pissed off because something got changed then that’s how your experience will be.

I wonder if Skagway was cancelled due to that rockslide? Radiance, Ovation & one other were docked there 2 weeks ago, but not directly in front of the unstable landslide. Maybe not enough room for a 4th ship?

Oops sorry 😞 thanks

It would be interesting to know why the ports were cancelled. Much more likely than not it was not the cruise line/ships decision. It's called cruising, not porting so even tho it is upsetting to miss a port, you should still enjoy cruising and being on board a ship.

Your cruise line clearly states that they can cancel ports at will if the conditions warrant a change, and they are not obligated to compensate you for it. It's unfortunate, but they did nothing wrong.

Sorry you were disappointed with your cruise.

The cruise line book’s excursions through independent companies, and only those companies can cancel. The Victoria port is only a 3 hour stop. If you’re going to write a negative review, at least get your facts right.

Nobody likes it when ports are cancelled but it’s happens. Don’t let it ruin the rest of your cruise.
