Review summary

As I said this was a JOKE of a cruise. Royal Carribean should be investigated for false advertising and lies. A couple of week prior to the cruise they sent a message saying that they would not cruise by any Galciers because of a damaged engine. I found out on the crusie and from the internet that it was a lie. The Smithsonian channel they have a video on the Quantum class ships where they show that the ships have 4 enginees and only use 3 enginees and the 4 engien is a backup device so that they always have 3 engines available. So if they have a spare engine that excuse is a lie. Doing some research online I found complaints from passengers back in July that the truth was there had been a fire in July in the engine room that had done some damage. But they waited until only 2 weeks before the cruise to tell us that the glaciers had been cancelled and came up with this lie. Now lets get down to the real truth, gas prices are up and this gave them an idea to pocket some money by skipping the most popular part of the trip and save money by not going to locations where they also do not make money from excursions. After all they have NO excursions at the glaciers so they want to get to the ports where they can make millions in excursion money fees. They also same hundres of thousands of dollars by slowing down the ship to save gas money. This tirp was advertised as a Alaska with glaciers, and so they decide to increase their profits by skiping the Glaciers, which is the biggest selling proint for these cruises. Maybe the DOT needs to look into these cruise lines pumping out all the lies and hidding the truth about safety problems on these ships. What is it going to take, for a ship with 5,000 people on board sinking or bruning before the DOT takes it serious that there may be some real problems with these curise lines lying?

Not very many show. The stage singers were great, and the Comedian was awsome.

Service and Staff

Very Nice, the only problem was they were short handed and trying to order drinks was very hard. I guess that makes it easier for them to serve less drinks for the drink packages

Ship Quality

Very nice, and easy to get around. There was a problem in them moving the Dimembarking locations, making it hard to find out where to get off the ship. The main problem I felt with this ship is there was NO Lounge in the front of the ship where you could sit relax with a drink and watch the ocean. They instead had a Solarium in the front over 3 decks which was full of pools and hot tubs so the area was hot, humid, smelled of chlorine and wet loung chairs. Not the place one would like to sit with a drink and some food watching the ocean and talking with others.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very nice, ecept for a broken shower door that kept banging in high seas

Ship tip

Do not purchase the internet streaming service, it is a joke NEVER worked and all they would do is say that it was not something that they could fix. They assured me prior to sailing that they had the best streaming at sea and it worked, which I found out was a lie.

Another JOKE. There was NO even 1 porter available to assist with disembarking. They got us off the ship to the terminal quickly only to find that we had to wait over 2 hrs to get our lougage because they had not taken it off the ship. A joke that they give you a disembark time early knowing that the lougage would not be there for you. I guess they feel that that gives them more time to get the ship ready for the next cruise while providing NO service for passengers. Worse port I have ever seen
