Review summary

Let me compare you with Carnival in a way that might help. On Carnival: this is everyone's vacation and we are in it together. No one is really on phones, or sitting around bored, it's very friendly amongst passengers and crew alike. Cruise director role is overdone though. On RC: Everyone is on a separate vacation and no one is going to help you be entertained. Passengers are entitled type that are snots to crew, was so disgusted by passengers. Everyone is on phones and it's just sad. I didn't even know who the cruise director was and it was nice to not have blaring overcom driving us nuts. The app is not intuitive and everyone of my 10 people hated it. Charging a daily charge for internet is so rude. Feels like a pocket dig. Probably won't return to RC: why? Lack of organization, lack of variety, entitled passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Excellent excellent staff, food was good, and variety nice. The organization of food was so cool, but the constant crowds and cranky people made it difficult to enjoy.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The solarium pool hours are ridiculous, adults only but closes at 9? Many things weren't working or functional in gaming rooms. Carnival has it over you on keeping things available.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
So many things were canceled or weren't even available. The entertainment was as huge fail.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The head chef Jakob was beyond amazing, kind and attentive. His boss was also so good, they truly care and it shows. Our room attentend was so amazing, seriously worth the most you're paying this position.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Things could be better. The way room are numbered is confusing, and too many areas look the same. Confused my older parents and left them stressed. Also EVER door that slides open should have a sticker on it so you can see what side opens. Seriously on this one.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
You need to swap out mattress, it's awful. Loved layout and everything was pretty perfect.

Ship tip

Be able to entertain yourself. This ship is not one that gives you things to do during day and night options are all the same daily.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
You need to consider seating and upping the availability when a stop is the ship spinning around to see everything. It's of no value to have to spend a ton of time trying to find where you can gather, esp with others.

Juneau, Alaska

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Too lazy to do everything necessary for a Sunday evening four hour stop. Felt like more work than fun.
