Review summary

We always wanted to do an Alaska Cruise but thought it was a one time then stroke it off our bucket list destination. NOT AT ALL !!! My husband and I loved it and will definitely go back. Alaska is the most beautiful and cleanest destination that we have ever visited.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good but the service was excellent ! The CHIC main restaurant was very good and the WINDJAMMER Buffet had excellent variety.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This ship is huge but never felt crowded. The Northstar, Ripcord iFly, Bumper cars and roller skating, rock climbing, 3 pools, 1 outdoor with movie screen, 1 indoor for everyone and the adults only Sanctuary was amazing !!!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
In my opinion this is where it was lacking ... it seemed to be geared for an older crowd. I wish that they offered better television channels and choices and the Pay per view Movies were expensive... the movies that were shown on the outdoor screen or indoors shouldve at least been free to view in your room if you missed them ?

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was excellent as were our servers in the CHIC main dining room. The Windjammer buffet was clean and all the staff we had on the entire ship was excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is gigantic but the layout was such they it never felt crowded. The entire ship was very clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had balcony cabin # 9696. Our balcony room had an excellent layout and more storage space than we have ever had on any other ship !!!

Ship tip

This ship is incredible ... You will love it !!!

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia Did not visit port

Very friendly and easy to navigate.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful area ... we walked to town ( 1.5 - 2 miles each way) but beautiful walk. Not a lot in town but cute and nice to wander around.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
We loved the National Park (Totem Pole Park) and it was excellent. We also visited the Sanctuary of the Bear which was disappointing ... small with a few bears in round industrial tanks ... could do this in 30 minutes ... not worth the money but the idea is good. We prefer animals in a more natural setting.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Gorgeous !!! A must do !!!

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We hiked the rainforest and Mendenhall Glacier (Tongrass National Park) INCREDIBLE !!! We loved the natural beauty and scenery ... we walked the extra mile to see the Nugget Falls and it was SOOO worth it !!!

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
What a cute little mountain town. We took the White Pass Summit Railway and it was gorgeous. A must do.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
This is probably the most beautiful scenic area in all of Alaska. We sat on our balcony and were memorized by the beauty of the area.

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion but the city was nice and interesting to visit.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did the early self- disembarkation and it was so fast ... we were off the ship within 15 minutes of leaving our room.
