My overall veiw of the criuse and ship was Fantastic!!!!

This was our third cruise, but the first with Holland America.It was myself, my husband and mt Mother who is handicapped.The staff were more than anyone could ask for, the ship was fantastic and the accessibility for handicapped passed all expectations!!! The food, entertainment and activities were perfect, something for everyone.We will definitely be back!!!

The food was good, need more fish dishes, staff was wonderfull, I loved going to the movies every day. I just wish they had 2-3 different movies per day instead of one to select from.

Enjoyable experience. This is a nice get away for anyone on the west coast - who want to get away and not have to pay a lot in airfare. A quick and simple vacation to relax and enjoy the sun.

The ship accomodated 2060 passengers with no problem at all, dining was flexible, and varied, plenty of entertainment options. All ports of call were on time, we had good seas, anda good crew.

Check in was organized and aside from waiting for an hour or so for our room the ship was ready for us. It was no problem on the wait as we took the opportunity to sit by the pool, have a cocktail and watch the sights of the ship leaving dock. Our week was fantastic. The ship and our room was kept spotless. All personnel were very friendly and happy to converse with you. The food every where was very good and our last night we ate at The Pinnacle Grill and considered it to be five star dining. The day we came back my husband was fearful that getting off the ship would be a hassle, and we were both surprised at how easy and organized it was. Before we knew it, we were in a taxi headed to the airport. We enjoyed it so much, we booked our next cruise!

It was geared towards the older crowd, mostly elderly passengers. We would have liked more up to date entertainment options that didn't start at 10:30pm. Also it would have been nice to have more than one shopping option on board as well as things to do. Not alot of diversity in things to do for the crowd that is 30-50, including entertainment as well as shopping.

We liked the ship, the public areas and our stateroom. The upstairs library has great reference, travel, and best seller books to read, espresso, and deep comfy chairs with big windows to watch the view (but get there early). The string quartet in the evening was very elegant, also in a comfortable lounge. Sadly, overall the food was mediocre (bland) and service in the dining room incredibly slow. Culinary demoss were not as advertised - more of the napkin-folding than celebrity chef type. Wished for more yoga classes.

Cruise weather was excellent !!

Clean, comfortable, convenient, great staff and made getting on and off very easy. Good amentiites, wonderful library lounge and loved the Corws Nest. Great quality time in Glacier Bay, staff truly cared and went the etra mile.

My wife and I struggled for a long time deciding which of the many ships/cruise lines to take. We made the right choice here. The Oosterdam is a great ship. Friends of ours took Princes in June and didn't get nearly as close to the glaciers as we did. While viewing glaciers we were as close a 1/4 mile of Margerie Glacier. The entire crew were always wearing a smile and went out of their way to accomodate us in any way. Would I take a cruise on this ship or on Holland America again? You bet!! This was our 1st cruise but won't be our last. We will start with Holland America in selecting future cruises.

Nice ship, but it felt a bit older and dated.

I liked the ship from bow to stern. Very impressive. Attractive.

Boarding the Oosterdam was a breeze. We were dropped off by private vehicle and did not have to roll our suitcases one inch. When we got to our stateroom, we discovered that we had been upgraded to a balcony room from an outside room. All of the staff that we encountered were extremely outgoing and friendly. The boat spent plenty of time in Glacier Bay giving us ample opportunity to take lots of pictures. When we returned to Seattle we were picked up by private vehicle which also went very smoothly. Will definitely cruise Holland America again.

The cruise was great except for one thing. It was my wife's birthday on May 20 and I was assured that they would have a little ceremony with a little cake. I reminded the employee at the podium before we were seated. We waited till the end of our dinner and finally I reminded one of the waiters. Then they came over and sang a song but that was all. Aside for this everything was great.

For the price, this line is Ok,Other cruise lines are more updated and offer more, You pay for what you ket

This was my first cruise. We did have the penthouse. Our treatment was excellent. We only had one ruff night where the water was very ruff. If I had to complain about something it would be having to pay for sodas . Anyone cruising for the first time make sure you check out all added expenses. Elevators were too slow.

This was our first time on a Holland America ship. We were very happy with the staff, the itinerary, and the varied activities.

The ship is nice. The air conditioner in the room was not working properly: too cold or too hot.
