Mexican Cruise on HAL

Sail Date: October 09, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship accomodated 2060 passengers with no problem at all, dining was flexible, and varied, plenty of entertainment options. All ports of call were on time, we had good seas, anda good crew.

Pros: cleanliness - those folks are anal about cleaningevery inch of the ship

Cons: not a party cruise - more laid back and conventional

Recommends Oosterdam? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Plenty of room for two people.
Entertainment
caters to a middle age crowd - but has kids activities too
Ship Quality
Hot tubs, pools and common areas were spotless, service was prompt and efficient. Waiters automatically added in tips which I did not like.
Food and Dining
Buffett, dining room and fine dining (Pinnacle) were all top notch
Service and Staff
every request fufilled
Mazatlan, Mexico
lots of poverty - some real depressing areas - not recomended
Don't Miss: shopping downtown w/ the locals for 80% off the tourist prices
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Neat place, we hired a private driver - $100 for 5 hrs - saw a lot, andhad a blast
Don't Miss: predator movie set
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Cancun on steroids !
Don't Miss: lovers beach
