Review summary

If you enjoy "sea days" then a transatlantic cruise is definitely for you. This cruise also offered many outstanding ports of call. I would strongly recommend this cruise to anyone wanting to visit the Mediterranean.

The staff, especially cabin stewards, were very good. The Lido and pool area was understaffed.

The ship was built in 2003, refurbished in 2018 (public areas and suites), but the standard cabins need to be refreshed - especially the bath. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Bring several $1 Euro coins with you as you will need them for the public toilets at the various ports unless you purchase something at a store/ restaurant. The internet is significantly better. The cost of HAL Shore Excursions has gone up significantly. Consider using 3rd party vendors.
