Excellent cruise. Alaska didn't disappoint at all! This was my first cruise and definitely won't be my last. Cruising is an excellent way of disconnecting and relaxing!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
easy process to get on the ship and room was ready quickly with luggage already there.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I would give the food a 4.5 if I could. There were some dishes that were "okay", but others that were excellent. The portion sizes weren't too big so you didn't overeat. The buffet had a great variety of food and desserts. I don't drink so I can't give any assessment there.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I used the fitness center. For being on a cruise ship the fitness center was quality. I would suggest some kettlebells, but beyond that it was great. The other thing I enjoyed was the walking track around deck three. It was a great place to get a walk in and see the scenery.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The ship had quality performers and fun shows. Overall, very good entertainment.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Excellent service! The room steward knows your name and did a wonderful job with our room. The waiters were friendly and provided excellent service. Everyone we met worked very hard and always had a smile on their face. We really enjoyed meeting the staff who came from so many places around the world and had a story to share.
Ship Quality

This was a very clean ship. It was easy to move around.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was just the right size for my wife and myself. It had plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. I highly recommend getting a room with a veranda. We loved sitting on the veranda with a cup of coffee looking out at the beauty of Alaska!
We were spoiled with great weather. Did whale watching and visited Mendenhall Glacier. Both were amazing. We got to see 4 whales, including a momma and baby whale together. Find the Salmon Cakes in a little food stand... incredible!
We loved Sitka! We didn't plan any excursions. Rather we walked around town and then enjoyed seeing the totems at the national park. We loved learning about the history. Also, get the Halibut Fish and Chips... WOW!
We attended the Lumberjack Show. Highly recommend. It was a great performance by some world-class timber sport lumberjacks! We then walked the city around historic Creek Street. Great city for shopping too.
