Disaster by perdu9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Royal Caribbean is NOT DISENFECTING like they are supposed to. You will never see anyone disinfecting day or late night . The casino area is the worst. The cruise line will never tell you if your room that you are entering had covid positive cruisers. It should be the law to be notified if the room your entering has had covid positive people before you enter it. Service is not as expected , ask one crew one question and get a different answer from the next crew member about the same question. Food is the same as any other ship food is average. Every event you want to do is a line , during cruise days if you don't go down at 7am to get a lounge you will not get one. Pools are extremely small both of them. Solarium is not what you see online it is half the size very small. On a 1-10 scale i give RC a 3 and i have cruised over 20 cruises. Don't let the size of the ship throw you off , the bigger the ship the worse the service. RC is not what it used to be they are slowing declining in their service and cleanliness . Also the bathrooms on the whole ship are disguising dirty and i complained about them.

Great trip by lsimmonssteve52

The cabin was large and had lots of drawer space. I liked having two closets. The personnel on the ship were very helpful and friendly.

Great holiday cruise by origami

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We went the week before christmas and it was packed but we still managed to find deck chairs and do most of the things we wanted to do. Seaplex is awesome. Food is great. Service is impeccable. Itinerary is for ppl who mostly want to relax/lay around on a beach - which was us! Only place with not-great weather was FLL. After that it was 80f & great.

Worst Agent Experience EVER by traveler8446

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was as expected. My experience with defies logic. The agent assigned to me recommended cabins without knowing anything about them. She did not acknowledge my loyalty levels to find better accommodations, until I insisted that she take another (3 times) look. I was booking for a family trip and looking at the deck plans, I selected adjoining cabins that could be opened up and where one cabin could accommodate four people. When I got the receipt, I was booked in two separate reservations (not linked) and the cabins were decks apart. Wdhen I called for assistance, she connected me directly with Royal Caribbean and then she dropped off the line. I am capable of booking directly with the line. I expected service through the agent and have had better experience with other agencies in the past. When the line changed the itinerary and took out a day, I got an email but no information. When I called, she was clueless. And connected me with the line AGAIN. When I asked if she would monitor the reservation for changes in the prices that would benefit me, I was told to call back every week. WHAT?? The last time that she put me in touch with the line, I got a price reduction of almost $3000 that she didn't even know about. When the Royal Caribbean asked where to send the receipts, I had him send them to me. When it came time to make the final payment, I got an email saying that United didn't know how much I owed. WHAT? I called and spoke to the first agent that answered. Thank goodness! She was marvelous. She could see my reservations, she knew the prices, she could link the reservations (finally) and she tried to change my opinion of . I don't think that is possible. There are too many choices out there. If this was my first cruise, it would have been atrocious. I am so thoroughly disappointed in your customer service. I was recommended by a very happy customer. But I will not be back.

A Southern Caribbean Journey with tremendous staff by JDA9012

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We cruise to rest, relax and meet new people, both fellow cruisers and staff. For us, because we are mobility restricted, it is important we seek out other adventures than ports of call. We find port days are times to really become acquainted with the staff from many nations. Cruising is a gift we give ourselves and an opportunity to expand our world through lasting friendships.

Great Caribbean Cruise by jahzsupply

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

THE ONLY DRAWBACK TO THE ENTIRE TRIP IS THE ROYAL CARIBBEAN APP. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE, WE PAID $16 X 4 PEOPLE TO USE THE APP ONBOARD CHAT FEATURE AND IT WAS WORTHLESS. IT WAS VERY HARD TO SEE WHAT ACTIVITIES WERE BEING OFFERED EACH DAY AND AT WHAT TIME. WHEN YOU DID FIND WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR YOU HAD TO THEN CALL OR STOP BY THE VENUE TO RESERVE OR PAY FOR A SPOT. NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL. ALSO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ANY GOOD SHOPPING THIS SHIP ISN'T THE PLACE TO FIND IT. OTHER THAN THAT THE STAFF & FOOD WERE SPECTACULAR,

Good cruise but Odyssey of Seas did not have right facilities for mobility, hearing and sight handicapped passengers. Never enough space for those using walkers, wheelchairs and electric scooters in the theater. And also included the TWO70 theater. by JohnCoyle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Odyssey of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Royal Caribbean must provide ways for those who are mobility, hearing and sight handicaps to get closer to the stage in the theater and also in the TWO70 theater. Currently Odyssey offers limited space for those using walkers, wheechair and electric scooter. Never enough space.

Virgin cruiser no more by queenE22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

The cruise was great! Ashdod was the only disappointment. Guess I expected the “holy land” to be better. Greece and Italy are a must for future travel.

Great Itinerary! by evelynboyd

The ship was very nice and food typical of large ships, good but not exceptional. The wine list was poor and the entertainment lacking.
