Review summary

This was one of the best cruises I have taken. I will cruise this ship again because I loved it so much. I will go back to Falmouth Jamaica, but I will not take the tour I took. I will go and see my friends as I had originally planned but took the tour instead thinking we would make it back in a timely manner. Other than that episode, I really loved this cruise, the shows, the ship, the food, the islands, the staff's joyous attitude...Yep, we will be booking on this ship again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation gets better and better each time we cruise. It was a very smooth transaction and the lines are not superlong as in the past.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was outstanding, but we ate in the Windjammer most of the nights and the food was spectacular. Great choices and great service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went to the jacuzzi, the pool, the Northern Star at night. Played in the sports bar the arcade games and shot hoops.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The musicians, the DJ's were great. The comedy act and musicals were Royal Caribbean top notch. It's great to see Royal Caribbean back to pre-Covid musicals. They were spectacular.

Children's Programs

I had no children cruise with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters in the main dining room was Head Waiter, Mischelle, and Assistant Waiter Marvin and they were superb. They attended to our ever need and then some. The Ma 'tare D came over and talked with us also. Wonderful Main Dining room staff. The Windjammer's staff was wonderful too. Received great service from everyone there too and got to speak with the Restaurant Supervisor, Narendra. He was so helpful and takes the time out to talk to us. Our Stateroom Attendant was Stephen and he kept our room spectacularly clean and the bed was always made and fresh towels all the time. Sijin Chang, Guest Service Officer was extremely helpful and courteous. Helped with our needs and just all around very nice.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All common areas were clean and well maintained. Any spills, they were quick to attend to it so no one got hurt.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have had oceanview and balcony rooms as well as interior cabins and this room in this place was spot on. The size of the room was surprising larger than I anticipated. And the sleep was the best. These beds are fabulous and the darkness in the room with just enough light from the bathroom (I love that night light in the bathroom) was perfect.

Ship tip

This is a beautiful ship. Take time to explore it and enjoy the food.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

This is a beautiful port. We did not get off the ship as we have been here numerous times and just wanted to enjoy the ship this time.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We took the excursion, GO NATIVE JAMAICA. We will not recommend that excursion to anyone. It was not what we thought it would be. it started off late and then returned at 4:00 instead of 2:00. We were to visit friends after we got back and never got the chance to do so. The tour guide, not Simone, was loud and shouted at people because someone did not follow her directions and bought something at one of the stops. We are adults and though one needs to get a point across, one does not need to talk to people like they are children. We paid to take this excursion. Then they took us to the oldest church in Falmouth and it was an approximate 50 minute drive. People got off to use the bathroom and there were only 2 bathrooms there. For approximately 120 people. Then the people were told to wait to use the bathroom till after the historic talk about the church. Then when he was finished we were told we can use the bathroom which had limited toilet paper! Ridiculous! They allowed us to use the bathroom below the church and the men's room had no toilet paper. One customer was livid. I left by that time. Then we went to Mount Olives Basic school where the children sang for us. They did a nice job, but then the request for money began. Why this school is in such poor shape when there are approximately 4 cruise ships that come there every week and people leave money is a bewilderment to me as to why this school is not in better condition for these children. Then they took us to an outdoor restaurant and thank god the food was delicious. Then we went to a very small shop...one shop...to shop. By the time we got back to the port we had to quickly head to the stores in the port to get some decent things. No, I will not recommend this excursion to anyone and Royal Caribbean needs to take it off their list.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
The beach was wonderful. And the market place store was pretty nice. We did not go too far into any other parts of the island. This was good for us. Our purpose was to go to the beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and flawless.
