A: The Odyssey is a nice ship. I enjoyed the bumper cars and the virtual reality pirate experience. The restaurants are cool. My thing is Chops Grille for the ribeye steaks because I only eat meat. The ship has the big observation ball that lifts a gr... oup high up and over the ship, but if the wind blows they don't operate it. overall, I give the Odyssey a 7 out of 10.See More

A: I always carry travel insurance! You never know what could happen when you are in a foreign county. Even if it’s in Mexico or the Caribbean and you are injured, your personal insurance will not cover it. I buy a yearly plan from Allianz because w... e travel a few times per year. Better safe than sorry that you didn’t have coverage.See More

A: Yes and yes. My wife had a gallbladder attack while we were in Bonaire. We went to the hospital there and ultimately flew home from aruba (next island on the1 next day). No way I was willing to let them operate on her. Insurance covered it all. We... always travel with insurance and hope to never need it, but if you do then it's the best investment.See More

A: The Wellness Check is done when you check in at the terminal. They re-ask you the same questions that were asked in the app. Don't worry about it it's just question on how you're feeling and such.

Answered by esrescuer on December 16, 2023

A: I think it's mainly asking about diarrhea , nausea and cough... They are trying to sift out viral illness but look for bacterial issues also.

Answered by picalo on December 16, 2023

A: It's nothing serious. we just returned from our cruise. They ask questions like....are you sick, coughing, sneezing, or flu symptoms. You answer questions, and that's all there is to it. Sort of a silly question (imo) since some will go regardless and... not answer honestly because they would not be allowed on the ship.See More

Answered by water227 on December 18, 2023

A: Actually, I checked, and the ship does not leave port till 5 pm, so there is nothing odd with the time given. Can I ask when is your boarding time?

Answered by esrescuer on December 17, 2023

A: we did the Odyssey of the seas in 2020 out of Civatevechia and still needed to be tested for Covid before we got on the ship. Usually the wellness check was done when we checked in and that was just a hand in proof of our Covid test.

Answered by Ruby13 on December 17, 2023

A: wait...i take my answer back... your right rnrcruising... it's odd and out of place being after embarkation and needing to be scheduled.... i don't know what that is.

A: We went on and didn't have to pay. Check as soon as you board to reserve a free spot. It was an interesting view of the ship with another 6 people on the space. I wouldn't pay for the experience but enjoyed the 10 minutes from start to finish.

Answered by SueClark13 on November 26, 2023

A: There is a complimentary experience on North Star which lasts about 10-15 minutes. If you’re not sure you want to spend the money, do the complimentary experience and then decide if you want to do the extended experience.

Answered by Idntwant2gohome on November 29, 2023

A: We did it in port when it's free. More to see but it just goes up and down. When at sea they rotate it around the ship.

Answered by mmruiz on February 1, 2024

A: I have a few times. From what I was told, when ship is in port, it only goes up but does NOT rotate but when ship is out at sea, it goes up and does rotate. could be wrong but that is what I heard.

Answered by shipmate13 on February 1, 2024

A: didn’t do the North Star, but you will love the Odessey.

Answered by Ruby13 on November 28, 2023

A: North Star is nice but not if you afraid of heights. it hold about 12 to 15 people in it. I can't remember what I paid, it was a few years back on another ship.
