The Norwegian Cruise Line stole money from me, and the guest services did not care to solve problems on the ship.

Review summary

I will not use this cruise line again. NCL does not respect promotions and it has poor Guest Services. The ship is expensive, crowded and it is a machine to extract money to passengers. The ship has poor layout with no space to seat, good cabins, poor entertainment, activities that are difficult to use. If you want better food, you have to use specialty restaurants.

Embarkation

Good, but incomplete. Later, I received a letter in which Gust Services required additional information.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The buffet area was always crowded, it was difficult to find a free table. The variety and quality of food has decreased in comparison with other NCL cruises (I took one last year).

Service and Staff

Room steward was efficient. Frustrating Guest Services Points from NCL credit card were not recognized. In a previous NCL cruise in 2023, I was convinced that having an NCL credit card was a good thing to accumulate points and use them for money to spend on board. Before the cruise, I had accumulated 80.000 points, equivalent to $ 800. a. 15,000 + 5,000 points ($200) were transferred to Cabin 11709 and appeared in the account. b. Three transfers of 25,000, 25,000, and 10,000 points ($600) were made to Cabin 11707. In the ship, the area of “Guest Services” said that only one transfer (and not two) of 25,000 points had reached NCL. I showed them the receipts printed with the NCL logo from the Bank of America website. They did not care. I spoke with Maximilian Gertz and Shailesh Walunj, who said I had to contact the bank. They gave me Case No 72240. They did not allow me to talk with their supervisor. NCL should fire those employees because they cannot be in a customer service area. I have all the evidence that the bank transferred those points. In other words, they stole $250 from me that I could have used to pay onboard expenses.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The layout is a disaster. There is no place to stay, to sit down. The Observation Lounge is crowded, in decks 6 or 7 you have to pay for a drink if you want to seat. The buffet area is crowded at anytime.
