Review summary

Overall the cruise was good but there were some misses by NCL on organization and planning of tender ports and the excursion companies. Not too impressed by them and not sure if I would do another cruise like this one.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Not too great, pier changed and no clear communication from NCL on how to get to the new pier.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Most of the food very good in the main dining rooms and buffets but the specialty restaurants do not have a good selection for vegetarian diets so that limited my choices.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
NCL is now charging for mini golf too and most activities have charge now. Very disappointed about that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good shows and other performers. Beetlejuice was execellent.

Children's Programs

Did not travel with a child who would use these programs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
NCL staff is always great and ready to help.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Design and layout is good and common areas were very clean and maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin, very comfortable. Good size and kept very clean by the steward.

Ship tip

This ship is good for warm weather locations as the outdoor areas are beautiful.

Ports of call

TRIESTE (VENICE), ITALY Did not visit port

Spent the time in Venice

Ravenna, Italy

3 out of 5
Did an excursion to Bologna but the excursion was not too great, a long drive and walk to spend only a little bit of time in the city. Missed visiting Ravenna also.

Split, Croatia

4 out of 5
Did an excursion to 3 different cities but again a lot of driving and walking but not enough time in the cities.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

4 out of 5
Good excursion but not really much to see except the fort. Shopping was also disappointing.

Corfu, Greece

4 out of 5
Beautiful port city. Enjoyed going into the city and doing some shopping and having a snack.

Santorini, Greece

3 out of 5
Did an excursion to a different island for a volcano hike and then went up to the city on the cable car. Line was terrible to come back to the tender so had to walk down the 600 steps.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
Wonderful city, really enjoyed the excursion to the ruins and the visit to the village of Sirince.

Istanbul, Turkey

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the visit to Istanbul but just a very rushed excursion as a lot was covered in it.

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Love Greece so this was also very nice. Did a short excursion but it was not worth doing. Walked around on our own to see the city.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Took the ship transfer directly to the airport.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Good but no NCL reps there to tell you where to go to get on the airport transfer bus.

Wonderful itinerary. We walked back down the stairs/path in Santorini. It was an interesting adventure. We have been on the Prima and loved it.
