Review summary

We love the travel and food and pool time along with good entertainment. This ship has a terrible layout. They nickel and dime you every change they get. All venues are too small. No chocolate to be found anywhere. The stores are lacking big time. The worst part of all is that 4 nights of entertainment was Beetle Juice that was sold out before we got on the ship! Other entertainment options were severely lacking and overcrowded and then they even cancelled Beetlejuice! They need to make sure ALL passengers can see a show. Don't sell tickets b4 people board. This was our worst cruise ever by far, and we have cruised a lot.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was same ole. The main buffet was small and not much to pick from. Desserts were terrible. A few cakes that had sat all day melting. Super tough steak in specialty dining room. The pub and other free restaurant with online menu had decent food tho. Nobody brings you drinks. Everything is get it yourself here.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Decent amount of online activities often held in rooms that were too small for the people.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The worst entertainment I have ever seen. The comedians were blah. The Idol show was ok. mediocre singers trying to sing really big songs. Beetle Juice was cancelled due to injury of the main character. They did not have an understudy. Even if the show went on 600 passengers would not have seen it because they dont have enough seating for everyone. Terrible terrible entertainment. They need to spend some money here and get good acts and not the same thing every night.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Just adequate. Nobody stood out. There is no chocolate on your bed or turn-down. No robes. No being catered to. In fact, there was not a chocolate bar on the ship to be found. We looked!

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The layout is horrible. You must walk through the casino to get to certain venues. Not enough outdoor bathrooms. Pools are too small. Venues are too small. People stand in line for minimum 30 min to get into a venue and then when the doors open fight for a seat because there is not enough room for everyone. It promoted a bad vibe and there were arguments. Tons of people standing up for an entire mediocre show

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was clean and not bad. The hallway to the bathroom is very tight. Not enough hangers. Shower was good.

Ship tip

Don't do it. Pick another ship or another cruise company

Sorry you were not pleased. We loved the Prima. Unsure about the nickle and dime, we were on the Prima 11 days and spent less than $60.
