Review summary

It was a good cruise but I think I would have liked at least 1 sea day The Viva is a excellent ship but Norwegian missed the mark on a few things on the making of the ship. I would recommend it

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smoothest I've experienced - 15 minutes from start to being on board

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room and one of the specialty restaurants were really good - 2 other specialty ones were mediocre

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pools were small and closed a lot of the time

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The stage shows were sold out every night and could not get in The singers in the Pour House were very good

No kids

5 out of 5
The people that ran the ship were outstanding

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
While there was a tremendous amount of outdoor space it felt poorly laid out

Suited us to a T! Was really well maintained by the steward!

Ship tip

Book yas many things as early as possible as they fill up and have very little flexibility to accomodate after

Everyone commented that the island felt like Hawaii. Touch the Pitons excursion was really good

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Probably the best excursion ever - the America's Cup Regatta was fun, intense and the hardest work I've done on an excursion and I can't wait to do it again
