Review summary

Incredible ship with many unique eateries, lounges, staterooms and not to be missed walk around deck 8.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little crazy but it was the first embarkation from San Juan. Lines but they went pretty quickly. I thought there would be specific lines for latitudes tiers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved the new Indulge Food court concept. Order from a touch screen food items from 8 restaurants plus drinks. Ate twice at Cagney’s, once each at Onda and Palomar. Carney’s steak is always good to very good. Onda for pasta and gun breads Pizza looked incredible. If you like calamari, all 3 had good versions. Buffet was above average.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Viva Theater & Club Bar

Beetlejuice was the feature show. Broadway caliber special effects, stage and singers. Beetlejuice himself was an energetic performer. This was a positive and the one negative. I don’t know a person could keep up the frenetic pace night after night. Unfortunately the decision to have him speaking in a screechy loud manner was not one that we appreciated. Too bad because it has the potential to be a great show. Luckily this was the only part of the cruise that we didn’t care for. The rest of the ship exceeded all other expectations.

Casino

5 out of 5

Casino has a number of different areas. Machines are pretty up to date.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room attendant exceptional as usual. Never have had a bad one in 23 cruises. Bartender at “The Local” was a lot of fun, sorry I didn’t get his name. Like a barista when creating pictures atop “mud slides.”

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Wow! Just wow! The sculptures and fun walkway around deck 8 are amazing. Interior atrium also beautiful.

Cabin / Stateroom
