Review summary

The Viva was larger than most ships we cruise on. Our first time in the Haven more than made up for the overall size of the ship. We felt like we were on a private y

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Most of our meals were in the Haven restaurant. Top notch... first rate

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The Deal or No Deal was fun and the electronics were great. The new Karaoke system was difficult to use and very, very limited in selection. One hour at 11 pm was too little time to accomodate everyone and too late to enjoy.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Bettlejuice was fantastic... Icons was good but the music selected was "random".

Children's Programs

adults only in our group

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Haven staff was fantastic. We had a butler but unfortunately, we were not impressed with that feature. Restarant and bar staff were great.

Ship Quality

Brand new ship... Clean and fresh. The layout was a bit strange but we got used to it.

Cabin / Stateroom

Large and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The light switches should be ripped out and replaced with something that a normal person could figure out in less than a week. What were they thinking?? The bathroom was large and well laid out except that they put in a double bowl sink that left zero room for counter top area. One sink with counter top would have been far better. Next time I will bring something to lay over the sink so there is someplace to put things. I will also bring suction cup hooks to stick to the mirrors since there are no hooks for hand towels.

Ship tip

Spend the money for the Haven upgrade. Take some time to look over the entire ship. There is so much going on it is easy to miss some of the great activities
