Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Main dining room food was not hot and not tasty. Specialty restaurants we went to were both very good. Buffet had enough to choose from to always find something to eat and was hot. Sports Bar had the best food!

Cabin / Stateroom

A bit small but it is a cabin on a ship. The bed was amazing and comfortable! It was always clean

Ship tip

Go eat dinner at the Sports Bar! Best complimentary food and it’s delicious

Our excursion was changed and the one we got was not very good. Brotherhood bridge is a bridge on the side of the road. Nothing to see. The Salmon Bake was not very good. The Salmon was, but not the rest of the meal. A huge let down

Juneau, Alaska

We did a sightseeing excursion. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. It rained, so not much to see. Go when it’s sunny.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Best place! The Ziprider is amazing! So worth it! Beautiful place to walk around and explore. We saw deer up close!

Victoria, British Columbia

It was fun to visit Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf. Pretty city. Too bad we didn’t get there until 2pm.

Disembarkation

Pretty quick. Make sure you settle your money or it’ll take more time

"Go when it's not raining" is great advice when cruisers often book shore excursions several months in advance. The only way around a shore excursion that would be ruined by rain is for the cruiser to monitor the weather a few days before and be able to cancel before the cancellation window closes. That is 48 hours on my upcoming cruise.

Remember you are in a rainforest, so it’s going to rain.
