Overall, this cruise was pleasant and gave us the experience that we anticipated.

Embarkation

One of the easier embarkation experiences that we have had with Norwegian although it was delayed by about an hour due to the ship not being ready.

Everything was as expected - nothing in the meals was super disappointing. The buffet was very good - food well prepared and served at good tempertures. Fruit selection was excellent! The French restaurant was absolutely excellent - service and food were both perfect! Brazilian restaurant was somewhat of a disappointment due to very slow service and limited selection.

Onboard Activities

Activites were mostly aimed at "more experienced" cruisers (older folks!), but were entertaining and fun in most cases.

Staff were mostly OK - friendly and seemed to be doing their best. Stateroom steward was a disappointment - far below our expectations for service, but at least kept the room very clean.

Ship Quality

The Sun is a mid-sized ship which is our preference. Easy to get around on and easy to locate venues. Everything was clean and well-maintained (as expected after just coming out of dry dock refurbishment)

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

The only problem with the "obstructed Oceanview" cabin was the continuous parade of walkers on the promenade deck outside of our window. I think it was a good trade-off for the lower cabin price.
