Review summary

Great itinerary and great time of year to visit. Seasons are changing and weather does cooperate.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
No problems. Easy embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We took most meals in the buffet. Great choices. Always fresh. Carved meat each night including prime rib two nights.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool would get crowded in the PM. But upper sun deck was always available.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Magic show was good. Symphony trio was a world class act.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was good. Now that a mandatory 15% service charge is added to your room each, night it will be interesting to see how service continues. I don't like businesses that charge a mandatory fee instead or showing the fee as a cost of the room. It makes comparing cruise costs deceiving.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean common, sreas. A vinyl had to be used by the steward to fill out ice bucket. Lots of hand sanitizer stations through the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very spacious with room to walk on each side of the king size bed. Room for two people to sit. Form and comfortable pillows and bedding.

Ship tip

Drink package was a good value as was the $50 per port rebate for shore excerions.

Ports of call

Santa Marta, Colombia

4 out of 5
The highlights your was nice. Got to see Simon Boulivar's death place/farm.

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
Nice. Be sure and buy coffee and other local souvenirs in the old town area. Duty free shop in port, while beautiful to vosit, was a rip off with highest prices for wages.

Panama Canal Transit

5 out of 5
Did not stop but the transit was nice. Plan to spend all day topside.

Manta, Ecuador

3 out of 5
3rd world country and just a dirty industrial port. Local fish market was interesting but be careful with what you come in contact with.

Salaverry (Trujillo), Peru

5 out of 5
Took the local your. However the temporary local market set in up at the bow on the dock in port has good prices and local made products. Very congested traffic. 2 hours of tour was sitting in traffic.

Callao (Lima), Peru

5 out of 5
Very surprised at how bad traffic was and dirty everything was. For a capital city, Lima is very 3rd world.

Arica, Chile

4 out of 5
Lots of traffic and very dry. Cleaner that Ecuador or Peru but not much to see.

Coquimbo (La Serena), Chile

4 out of 5

San Antonio, Chile

4 out of 5
Took the your and trip into Santiago. Highly recommend this tour. 4 course dinner and local dance show included in the price. Very informative then drop off at curb side where your luggage is waiting for you.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We took the tour and airport drop off option. Highly recommend. Flew through customs.
