Don't sail on this ship. Too old, bad food. My husband is silver on NCL and didn't even get invite to Captain's party. Just happen to see it in their daily newsletter.

Read the fine print. Your excursion and transfer bookings cannot be refunded if you pay for them ahead of time. Also expect to be nickle and dimed at every opportunity. Drinks of the day, for example, were a bargain at $9, far more than I've ever paid on other cruise lines. Laundry charges were by the piece, eg, $12 to wash and dry a dress.

Wouldn't do a side trip in Cannes as would have been fun to explore the cute town. Also didn't do one in Split, Croatia as there was much to see there.

Simply enjoy everything and be grateful that the number 1 priority is the health and safety of all passengers (due to nature's challenges).

If you like sauna, steam sauna, the ladies have a fantastic view from the dry sauna and free.

Be wary booking cruises that have low rates. We've cruised with Norwegian half a dozen times, and we've always recommended it as our favorite cruise line. Never again. To cancel a major port on the cruise and not offer any sort of compensation is crazy to me. But to act like it's pulling teeth to give people onboard WiFi access so they can make other plans is even worse.

Book you shore excursion early some do sell out earlier than others. When you have booked what you want, make sure to have a print out or screenshot of the confirmation # for when there is a price change (it happened to us) and that you need to dispute the charges.

Difficult to give advice, as it will be a different ship in a different region after the refit. One thing we were told is that the bridge observation room is not going to be kept after the refit, so don’t go looking for it!

Definitely pay the upgrade for speciality restaurants. Well worth the prices.
