We have been on 4 cruises and we really do like the Freestyle Dining that NCL offers. We didn't have to rush to get to dinner on time. The Spirit is an older ship and some of the public areas were not overly impressive. They did have a couple of night clubs that were very nice. The pool area was small and it was hard to find open lounge chairs unless you got there early in the morning. They only have one adult pool and one children's pool but they do have 5 hot tubs.

This was my first cruise experience and I am really glad we went. I really liked the Norwegian Spirit from NCL. I was scared to go on a cruise because of the sea/motion sickness, but I'm glad I didn't give in to the hype. Just in case, I did bring Dramamine with me, but never had to use it. Sometimes I felt the motion but wasn't bad at all, in fact, it felt kind of relaxing, like rocking in a hammock. I was also worried about that virus on cruise ships, but our ship was really clean and each person had to disinfect their hands all the time, especially before entering public rooms, eating, and after you come back from a port. They also sterilized all the surfaces constantly. I don't think I've ever been in a more germ-free environment. Great value for a 10 day exotic cruise! I can honestly say this has been my favorite vacation. Absolutely no stress!!!

Nice ship. Large with lots to do, but not a "party ship" -- which can be a good thing for relaxation.

I like the fact that it departs from NYC and the Island that we visited were very nice, even thought I thought that we could have spent more time there. We had to leave 2 islands at 1 and 2pm and that was early in the day and we were enjoying a nice time a the beach and we could have stayed longer there especially at Great Stirrup NCL's own Island. THe ship is O.K. it could be mantain a bit better for example: Cleaner windows, glass doors, fresh paint to cover the rust, dust off some areas including the bedrooms. The crew was very friendly and very nice at all times so that made our trip so much nicer.

Very clean, elegant

THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR WE HAVE DONE THE HOLIDAY CRUISE WITH NCL. WE HAVE A 21 AND 16 YEAR OLD. ALL OF US HAD A GREAT TIME. THE FOOD WAS GOOD, SOMETIMES GREAT, THE STAFF HELPFUL WHEN NEEDED. THERE WAS PLENTY TO DO IF YOU WANTED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CRUISE.

Less then impressive decor availablitliy with out cost of the activities on the Norwegian Spirit. The stepchild treatment to us since it was our first cruise on the NCL fleet. The expectancy of shelling out over 200 dollars for customer service per person was a big reason for lack of service from the staff, although we could give more if we wanted, we really wanted to ask for a credit rather then give gratuities since the service and ship were less then average. The inavailability to use the pool area since there was so called rough seas? Lack of respect for Americans voiced by staff members to myself on this cruise.

I obviously like this ship. I have sailed on it three times since may. Each cruise has been better than the last. Norwegian now has new menus that reflect the desire to please their customers. All around pleasure was experienced each day.

11 nights was nice and leaving from NYC was nice

VERY CLEAN, MOST STAFF FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL, YOUNGER MALE ENTERTAINMENT / GAME / EVENT STAFF VERY IMATURE AND SKIRT CHASERS. FOOD WAS GREAT, HOUSEKEEPERS, BAR STAFF,MUSIC TALENT, COMEDY SHOW STAFF, BAR SERVICES , WAIT STAFF, ALL A+ ANN FROM GERMANY WHO DID TRIVIA AND WAS PART OF ENTERTAINMNET STAFF WAS A JEWEL. DEBARK AND EMBARK VERY SMOOTH COULD GET TAXIS QUICKER CRUISE DIRECTOR SHOULD SPEND MORE TIME KEEPING HIS MALE CO WORKERS IN LINE.

We had a wonderful time except for the movement of ship. Very clean ship, the service was exceptional. Entertainment was great. Shore excursions great. Will travel on Norwegian again, just not the Spirit.

clean ship, friendly staff and helpful. Room was nice and well kept. The windows and Garden room restaurants were very good and the service was excellent. The shows were entertaining and professional. We did think the drinks were over priced and they were different at every place on the ship. Did not like the hours of the photo shop or the prices there, very expensive. Bingo is overpriced also.

This ship is far below the standards of other ships for comparable accomodations. There are no lounges to enjoy music and dancing.

We enjoyed being able to meet people during the cruise and have dinner or breakfast with them. We loved the freestyle agenda because we weren't rushed to make dinner at a certain time and we didn't have assigned seating. It helped us relax and enjoy the cruise. The ship was not goddy. It was simply decorated and elegant.

It was my first cruise made with a seasoned cruiser traveler. I recommend the 8th deck and up as below that may be a little confusing reaching the dining and entertaining areas. As for us.the walk did wonders for our digestion. 'Windows is a beautiful resteraunt with small portions of very good food. For those who like to heap ther platters Raffles has a wide and tasty selection. The disabled need not worry there as the Hospitality Staff are on hand to assist without asking. The ship was beautiful. The staff cheerfully accommodating. Freestyle is good for those who want it to all hang out. Myself I ike to dress for dinner. A dining room is for eating in style and that is what we did. Oh yes, the Chocolate Buffet was extrodinary.

The Norwegian Spirit seemed smaller than we expected. With limited deck space, and only one pool, days at sea were cramped. The childrens pool was the best we've seen on about a dozen ships. Our children, ages 3 and 5 had a wonderful time, and the kids crew staff was excellent. This line offers Freestyle dining, which we loved, but the wait staff could have been friendlier. Overall we had a great family vacation, and would cruise again on Norwegian, but possibly another ship.

A ten day cruise is the way to go if you have the time. Makes for a nice relaxing vacation even when traveling with family. Kids crew on this line was excellent. Staterooms were very small. Even the outside with balcony. Food was not as good as other lines such as Princess or RCCL. Loved sailing out of NY.
