Review summary

We have been on 4 cruises and we really do like the Freestyle Dining that NCL offers. We didn't have to rush to get to dinner on time. The Spirit is an older ship and some of the public areas were not overly impressive. They did have a couple of night clubs that were very nice. The pool area was small and it was hard to find open lounge chairs unless you got there early in the morning. They only have one adult pool and one children's pool but they do have 5 hot tubs.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I really enjoyed the meals in the main dining rooms but I did not care for the buffet.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We went to one of the shows just about every night and enjoyed only a couple of them.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
For the most part, everyone was quite friendly and willing to help with any questions that we had. Our cabin steward was great and most of the waiters were very friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Spirit is a good size ship but I feel that 1900+ passengers make it seem over crowded, mainly in the pool area. I did not care for the layout of the ship. Some of the public areas were very small. Overall it was very clean in the public areas and the cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had an inside cabin so it was a little small but nice and clean. There was plenty of storage room and the bed was pretty comfortable.

Pros: Freestyle Dining

Cons: over crowded

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? No.
